Exeter Self Defence Academy ran a private 4-week self-defence course for teenagers in our local community. Course and course content was thorough, professional, well thought-out, well-planned and well executed. Lewis & Sophie also made it fun; our group of teenagers thoroughly enjoyed every lesson, and felt so much more confident afterwards. Very worthwhile, so glad we booked it. Will definitely be booking more sessions in future. Would highly recommend Exeter Self Defence Academy!

Went to the taster session last week and Sophie and Lewis were really welcoming. They made the class really varied and interesting. Everything was explained well and it was great fun. I have signed up and highly recommend!

I attended the Ladies self defense course in Autumn 2024 and was so impressed! Lewis and Sophie made the course feel so accessible and approached the subject in a really realistic way. Would really recommend to anyone (I definitely wasn't the youngest in the group by a long way!). Has sparked an interest in me to learn more. Why not try it out? 🙂

I recently asked Exeter Self Defence Academy to run a private workshop for my personal training clients. Lewis and Sophie pitched the workshop perfectly for what we needed, giving us a practical introduction to self defence tailored to all the abilities in the room. The demonstrations were super clear and we got plenty of opportunity to practice. We left with clear takeaways of how to handle different situations and even though we were dealing with a heavy subject, everyone had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the class. We’re looking forward to learning more another time! Would 100% recommend, especially if you’re brand new and looking for somewhere to start 😊

Sorry about that BUT my excuse is that I'm a bit of a dinosaur.
This course is EPIC And I would recommend it to everyone.
We REALLY enjoyed the glove and mitt training it was FUN and informative as always, it was ran in a family orientated and enjoyable way and everyone was having a great time with their kids.
We will DEFINITELY be doing it again if the opportunity arises.

Lewis and Sophie are so great with the kids made them feel safe and took their time to explain everything! It also teaches the kids at a young age about life and how to treat others in the way you want to be treated which is really great.
