First Class Learning. English & Maths tutoring since 2009

My two sons (year 2 and year 4) have been going for over a year now (English and Maths). The work follows the national curriculum and there is an orderly progression to it so I know where my kids are in their learning. This together with doing a little homework everyday has meant they are both progressing brilliantly and I can see the results in their school reports. With consistency and patience, I believe any child can do really well on this programme. A big thank you to Katherine and Shamim who run the centre with dedication; you can see they genuinely want all their students to do well!

I was recommended by a friend who talked very highly of First class Learning and how well her son was doing. I thought I’d give it a go! I was very impressed straight away. My kids had an Assessment with Shamim, he was fantastic with them that the girls couldn’t wait to start. I can’t believe in such short time how much my Daughter's have progressed. I’m really impressed on how my kids confidence has blossomed in such short time. They also really enjoy attending the class and doing the weekly homework. I would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for some Extra learning for their children. Specially bringing out the confidence in children’s learning. Asma and Shamim the owners are really nice people, easy to approach and talk to. My daughters clicked with them Instantly! Highly recommend :)

My eldest is a very modest individual and although she was doing well in maths i felt she didn't have the confidence in it. My youngest was more the opposite who i felt didn't have the drive to push herself so i gave it a go and enrolled them both. I was apprehensive at first as mentioned eldest is modest and very shy so nervous she may not enjoy the atmosphere etc however she done very well on day one and was happy to go back. The atmosphere is very relaxed but with the balance to push the students to complete their work and make them feel comfortable to ask for help. Since joining i have noticed a huge difference in both my children's development in Maths and English, i would highly recommend this north finchley branch and have already got someone else to sign their child up simply because this truly is money well spent. My kids have been attending a few months now and even during lockdown Asma and Shamim (owners) have really adapted to the situation to help the kids still maintain communication with them and boost them to continue to work over zoom calls etc. thumbs up from me!

I had a great experience with First Class Learning in North Finchley - my kids attended for a year. My daughter (year 3) became more confident in both maths and english and improved her final school performance. My son has been attending FCL north Finchley since Jan 2022 and has made outstanding progress. The work is manageable with a focus on small amounts, daily. This really works for my son as he still has play time after school. Ismaeel has shown lots of improvement in Maths and English, in particular his times tables and creative writing skills, something he really struggled with prior to attending FCL.

My daughter recently joined the FCL Finchley and I am really happy with her progress. She has shown great enthusiasm and enjoys the worksheets. She recently got 98% in her maths test at school which is attributable to FCL. Thank you to Asma and her team !!

We are so pleased to have found First Learning North Finchley. The teaching is tailored to focus on our son's individual needs in conjunction with his learning style. He is now so confident with his English and is thriving in maths. There is open communication between the teachers and parents and children which is great for all involved in our son's development. My son enjoys going on Saturday morning and has no hesitation in attending. A really great nurturing place for children.
