Great expérience with the family. The viking festival was full of history and fun for the kids too with children trying out on the battlefield to beat the vikings. The site is a lot bigger than we expected and full of re-enactment actors and actress explaining how things work for the children. It feels like step back in time. Definitely coming back again

Great day out here on the way home from holiday. Plenty to see, the shed with the preserved in situ track way being a favourite. The museum is small but very interesting. Some aspects could maybe do with improved information. We went being quite knowledgeable about archaeology, and having been before 10 years ago, but a casual visitor might need more information.

Very interesting artefacts and archaeological finds in a small but beautiful setting. I learned a lot. It was also great to see how much education they give to young children about fossils, extinct animals and the whole iron and bronze age way of life. Nice cafe and local book area at the entrance too.

Went to see the Viking festival, fantastic. From battle re-enactments to living encampment. Each person was very knowledgeable about what they were portraying.

Interesting site to visit with enthusiastic and helpful staff. Ensure you follow the 'suggested route' through the park or, due to rather poor signage, the whole site is rather confusing until you reach the part you should have visited first!
I would also love to see the route of the causeway marked permanently throughout the park, it would make the whole site make more sense.

We also returned to use the car park and facilities for a 13 mile cycle ride around Peterborough on the very well maintained cycle track. The staff were friendly and helpful on this occasion too - one we spoke to had done the 50 mile round trip more than once. Slightly more than we did. 😎

I must recommend this lovely facility - take a visit!

Relaxing place to stroll around at your own pace. It was also nice to see so many sheep roaming around freely. There is an abundance of activities for the kids to participate in, all aimed at building historical knowledge.

Admission prices were reasonable too, as was the cafe. The star attraction is the wooden causeway constructed in the Bronze Age. At a leisurely pace you’d comfortably get around everything in a couple of hours, quicker if you didn’t wish to read the information boards.

If you are local to the area this is definitely worth a visit, do check the opening times though as outside of school holidays it is not open all week.

We visited with Granddaughters, Daughter, had a great day here, plenty to do, spent a good 4/5 hours. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, you can make wicker butterflies, go pond dipping, dig for fossils and other things. A fantastic family day out.
