Absolutely brilliant camp for our cubs and scouts. There is plenty for them to explore and do.

One possible improvement would be another set of toilet/shower facilities. Due to the size and popularity of the site these can get quite busy.

Very good scout camp, well looked after and everyone always enjoys using the lake for watersports.
We stay here regularly and will continue to go back for as long as we're able.

Excellent campsite and activity centre.
Massive plus point is site staff let you get on and do the activities safely with out undue rules and interfearance you get at most scout sites.
All site staff helpful, especially tractor driver who toes your trailer to sites
Only draw back is it's a long walk to the loos if your on the far side of site like swallows...
Like our annual visit here.
P. S As well as the cave bus, you could offer real caving in that pot hole on the approach road 😜😜. I nearly lost the mini bus down it.

What an utterly wonderful place!
Our pack was down by the lake and it was idyllic. The activities were fabulous and the setting was gorgeous.
The site team were fabulous and whizzed over when we had queries etc.
I was very happy to see defibrillators installed too.
Most importantly the children loved it!

A good place to get rid of the kids for a weekend on a Scout camp. The main problem, however, is the access road from the main carriageway. There's just not enough parking and space on the way in so there are often large traffic jams. Ideally get there earlier than is stipulated.

The begg building is a fantastic building to have your beavers/cubs sleepover in lots of activities available on site. A fantastic kitchen complete with a freezer which is rare in a scout kitchen. My group had an amazing time here. Our scouts were in hammocks and loved it.
