I’ve been training at FSC for a few months now after taking a long break from martial arts. Coming back, my fitness wasn’t great, so I was worried I’d struggle. However, the classes are challenging without being overwhelming, and you can adjust the intensity to suit your fitness level, which means you’re always pushing yourself without feeling like you’re in over your head.

The coaches are knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they do, and the atmosphere in every class is fantastic—it feels enjoyable and fun to be there. Sparring is one of my favourite parts, and while it’s great fun, it also feels very safe. The coaches are always looking out for everyone to make sure things stay controlled and safe.

The membership is well-priced and flexible too, which is ideal for me with shift work. Some weeks I can’t make as many sessions as I’d like, but I’m able to catch them up the next week.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone who’s trained before, this is a great gym to either get back into martial arts or to start a new hobby. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a positive and supportive place to train.

I train at both the Exeter and Exmouth locations, and both classes are brilliant. Overall, it’s been a great experience getting back into martial arts here.

Definitely one of the best place to train. It thought me; self discipline, respect to myself and others. Great place to release stress and it’s awesome. Can’t get a better feeling than hitting the pads and seeing good results on what you worked on. Great coaches, coach sonny and coach lucky, both truly experienced in muay thai. Classes are always fun and with a good laugh.

I’ve only just joined FSC Muaythai, however I’m certainly not a stranger to martial arts and training having tried my hand at a decent bit of training throughout my past. I can unequivocally say that this is an excellent gym while I feel fully gravitated to come back and enjoy the training. I particularly love the emphasis on stepped training as opposed to just merely being thrown straight into sparring. Even though I am not a complete beginner to martial arts, at my age I want something that I look forward to as opposed to just being thrown to the wolves. A great gym and great coaching- great atmosphere.

FSC Muay Thai is a really friendly place to train. The classes are approachable and there are plenty of coaches to give feedback during sessions to help you find your edge and keep you progressing.

There is fantastic attention to detail. Coach Sonny and Coach Lucky are seasoned experts and they make the classes very enjoyable.

My daughter has started in the kids class and she has an amazing time at FSC. She can hit like a train after just a couple of months.

I always feel better coming out of a session than when I went in.

I primarily took up Muay Thai to improve my fitness and FSC has helped me to achieve that goal. Coach Sonny and Coach Lucky are incredibly knowledgeable with plenty of encouragement and some fun along the way.

The splitting of classes into skill brackets makes it less daunting to get started, rather than being dropped into the deep end. That's not to say the positive start classes are easy, far from it, they are the right amount of intense.

Highly recommend for anyone interested in fitness, self defense, a historic marital art or even just as a social outlet.

I joined the Ladies Only Kickboxing group here at the start of January not knowing how much I would enjoy Muay Thai, and now Sundays are my favourite day of the week. Honestly, I went in that first day expecting the session to be good but was greatly unprepared for just how much fun it would be! The coaches here are so great and super supportive, really help you understand the moves and are amazing at breaking it down so you can do stuff at your own fitness level, whilst also challenging and encouraging you to push yourselves to improve and making you believe that yes, you can do it. Couldn’t recommend this place enough if you’re interested in Muay Thai, and especially the Women’s Sunday session for the ladies that are a bit wary and intimidated about joining a martial arts group like this—seriously, it’s worth it. All the other students are also so friendly and supportive, and we’d love to see any newcomers pop in and give it a go, and hopefully fall in love with Muay Thai like we did!
