Lovely place to visit. Has been refurbished over the last few years to good effect. Nice to look back at some of the historic places around Galleywood. It also houses a great tearoom where you can get a mug of tea and a bacon roll for £3.20!
There is also the remains of a Napoleonic Fort just across the way from the centre.
Best check for opening hours before you visit.

Lovely visit to the tearoom. Such a friendly place and delicious cakes on offer and a good basic menu. After a walk on the common it was a welcome visit. Looking forward to popping there again soon.

Our daughter held a fund raising event at the Heritage Centre for friends and family. We can only but praise the lovely reception we were greeted with when shown around. On the day we were presented with a clean and tidy hall and surroundings. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Phil the caretaker was polite and really helped us make it a really special day. So lucky to have such a well maintained facility and surroundings on our door step. Thank you Galleywood Heritage Centre 👍👍

It was great to find the Heritage Centre open this afternoon. We were out walking the dogs over the common and stopped for a cup of coffee. I was amazed at how cheap the bill was. Only one suggestion, and there may have been one but we didn't see it, is to have some water out for the dog visitors. Thank you for a lovely 1/2 hour break.

Fantastic venue. Have hired Galleywood Heritage Centre several times and never had any reason tp complain. Nice spacious hall with plenty of natural light and a great garden area outside, also plenty of parking space. Enough tables and chairs supplied by the hall to comfortably seat at least 100, good toilet and a small but well provisioned kitchen is available for hire. Staff are very helpful and happy to help with any issues.
Also nice to visit the hall when it is open as a cafe but as it is volunteer run its best check before visiting on the website.
There is also many events on at the hall throughout the year and a smaller room at the back where Galleywood history displays and pictures can be viewed.
