Simply amazing. This place has the perfect balance of quality and approachability, it's child-friendly without feeling like you're in a soft play centre, not the cheapest but not prohibitively expensive either. The waitress and manageress were super friendly. They source all their fare from the UK. They're flexible about mixing and matching from the menu. All in all, faultless.
PS The idea of throwing in bacon and sausage as optional extras to the bean casserole is inspired!

Such a great place. Lots of space. The food is the best breakfast you can get in Crouch End. Very good service. Not super busy, but very high quality and excellent experience, which is a hard combination to find.

It’s surprisingly hard to find places that serve good sandwiches and decent British food. Even harder to find delis that go to such lengths to source interesting quality British produce. Pubs can be overly expensive and hit or miss, so a place like this is very welcome. The menu selection is varied enough but not overly complicated or too large. It’s light, feel good food. The Scottish beef brisket stew I had yesterday was comforting and delicious, amazing pairing of wine suggested by the owner.

Lovely atmosphere inside and the service is very personable and clearly filled with passion for what they do. Having just moved to the area, I look forward to coming back more and more.

AITA? Possibly. Looks great. Nice variety of seating options. Service was excellent. I like the gist of the British angle they are trying to take. Coffee and food was average and fairly small portions. Broccoli salad with cheese (which was almost entirely a plate of just roasted broccoli), a ham and cheese croissant, and a soup of the day - which was all fine but we left hungry, even for what we intended to be a light lunch. For the price (consider that a plain croissant is over £4), there are far better options nearby. And the name. I get what they are trying to do, but... sorry, it's a mouthful. I just say the place opposite the Rosemary. It was called something else upon opening, and I appreciate this may be a struggle to get right. It's still fairly new and perhaps I'll return at some point and update this review accordingly.

My new favourite place. Such delicious British wine, cheese and meats. Always really friendly and knowledgeable staff. Eating more local is the future, but I would go here just for the deliciousness. Good conscience is a bonus. Highly recommend.

Hands-down the best cafe in Crouch End. I can't say enough good things about it.

- First of all, it nails the basics: amazing coffee, amazing pastries (never too rich or sweet).

- Then they go above and beyond: delicious home-cooked food, with fresh British ingredients

- Atmosphere 10x better than anywhere else. It feels like a nice living room. The music is always original and at the perfect volume.

- Laptop friendly during the day w/ nice fast internet BUT never feels like a co-working space.

The owner is usually there and will always make you feel at home.

I genuinely can't imagine why you'd go elsewhere if you're in the area.
