I’ve been to a few different BJJ gyms in the past few years but this by far is my favourite.

I’ve been attending sessions since July 2023 and Coach Dillion, Coach Peter and Coach Paul are amazing, not only are they welcoming and make you feel at ease and part of the club from the moment you walk through the doors but they also pay attention to every member, old or new. The fact that they truly care and want you to succeed and you’re not just a gym member but a family member.

No hard, pushy sales talk either which was a breath of fresh air.

One of the only gyms that I’ve come across that has an on-site Gym and consistent Strength & Conditioning sessions early mornings.

My eldest (18) who trained (stopped during the Pandemic) at a different gym in Birmingham came to a session and loved it so much that he wants to restart BJJ whilst at University.

I really wanted to try BJJ so I made contact with several martial arts clubs in my local area. I found Gracie Barra Darlaston the most approachable, welcoming and friendly of them all. Started training with Gracie Barra Darlaston at the beginning of March 2023 and have loved every session. You couldn’t ask for a better club the coaches are knowledgeable, accommodating professional and they have created a club that is hardworking and friendly whilst delivering quality training!!

I joined here on January 2013 and have not looked back since. Gracie Barra Darlaston is by far one of the best places I have ever been to. The instructors are open ended with their teaching allowing you to develop in the best way possible while helping you with your goals. From avid competitors to hobbyists the gym has a diverse group of practitioners who are all helpful and kind. This is without a doubt one of the best training facilities in the area.

On top of excellent equipment and instruction the facility boasts a gym and access to other Gracie Barra locations, a clean bathroom with sauna and shower service, stocked soap and an awesome, helpful staff.

If you want to learn Jiu Jitsu, pick up training again, or just get fit in an interesting way, this is the gym to do it!
