Over the years I have experienced lots of riding stables and livery yards. I can only speak of Grove house from a riding stables perspective and say that this is probably the best establishment I have ever visited. My daughter rides here fairly regularly and she is nurtured by the staff who seem to be very perceptive of her lack of confidence. Lessons are quite small and this allows the instructor to tailor the learning, ensuring that my daughter is able to work through her fears with gentle encouragement.
The horses and ponies clearly love their work and are so well cared for. I have witnessed first hand how they are the first priority of the staff. Last week one of the ponies looked tired of working and so rather than being bullied in to doing as he was told, the owner switched him out and brought another pony in. The ponies are gentle and have beautiful manners, as do the staff. The online booking system is great and makes everything so much easier. A well organised and really lovely establishment where the equines are clearly put before anything else. Andrew and his team are wonderful!

My daughter has been having horse riding lessons at Grove House Stables for over a year. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful and put the kids at ease. The lessons are excellent and the prices competitive. We haven't tried any other stables as we are very happy with Grove House, so can't compare. My daughter really enjoys her lessons and looks forward to it every week. Parking is good and there is a cafe on site too which we've used for drinks and snacks.

Ridden here for 8yrs and I love the team. It is a beautiful yard with amazing friendly staff and lovely horses who are passionate with what they do. The staff have looked after me well and helped me to regain my confidence. They also offer a wide range of learning, competitions and experiences for everyone 🙂

Our daughter has been having lessons for several weeks now, her riding is improving all the time, she
absolutely loves her lessons, instructor Ellen, and the ponies especially Holly. She had her birthday party
last weekend with 5 friends, at Grove house, (a pony party) which was brilliant. Everyone enjoyed it, her friends said it was the best party ever, although they hadn't ridden before, their experience was great. The staff were all lovely with Alicia and her friends, making them all very happy on her birthday...a big thank you to everyone involved...finishing off with a party tea in the Dovecote cafe, again all the staff were lovely to the children and grown ups, making the whole experience one to remember..

Ponies 'n' Pals brought Biscuit the pony to our garden to celebrate the birthdays of our daughters Summer (10 years) and Skye (3 years). They both love ponies and had a wonderful time with friends and family grooming, dressing up and playing games. We were amazed at how well Jed and Ellen were able to engage all the children ranging from 3-10 years. Both girls agree that it was the 'best party ever' and Skye wants to know when Biscuit can come to play again! Highly recommended!

I booked a 1-week riding experience package at Grove House Stables and soon ended up extending it for 2 more weeks and believe me, I could have gone on if I had no life to go back to in London!

I absolutely enjoyed my lessons with all my fantastic instructors (Jodi, Lisa, Sam, Kerri and Eve) and GHS’s great ponies. I received a range of riding and horse care lessons and worked towards some of the BHS Bronze level certificates during this time.

A special thank you to Andrew Stennett who kindly put this bespoke riding experience together for me and his lovely mom and their gorgeous dog who made us feel welcome.

I am already thinking of returning for another riding break in the Summer!

Great place. Indoor and outdoor horse arenas, and stabling, indoor and outdoor dog agility arenas. There is a lovely tea-room,cafe. An antiquities shop, and a cycle store. There are toilet facilities,these are accessed from outside and are quite basic but functional. There is some off road parking but not a great deal. There tends to be overspill onto the road. Thisisn'taproblemand shows that they are popular than they expected.

I went here to a pilates class round the back. The front cafe looked very popular as it was very busy. Lovely friendly staff to as I was lost. I will be calling back soon for a visit again
