The school is fantastic and moving my daughter here was the best decision I ever made. My daughter is Dyslexic and has Dyscalculia, the nurturing environment helped her focus on the subjects she was good at and by being let to do only the minimum GCSE's needed, she managed a Grade 7 in English which was something that would have not been possible if she stayed in her former school as she would have been spread too thin. She has now left the school with two A* and an A at A Levels. She flourished here and I wholeheartedly recommend this school.

Our son has just finished his GCSEs at Fine Arts and I have nothing but good things to say about the school. He has been supported and inspired by the tutors and administrators all along and the community feels more like a family than an institution which is a breath of fresh air.

Fine arts college is one of a kind and incredible. As a student here, I have been taught by some incredible teachers including the head, Emmy who especially ignites a passion in all of her students. Studying at FAC was the most amazing opportunities of my life, I couldn’t have even conceived of the amount of memories that I have created in this environment that caters towards making everyone feel as if they have a special individual place here. The students are warm and welcoming and the teachers are hospitable and take care of your every need. Candy is a remarkable woman who works incredibly hard to cultivate a warm, welcoming and exciting environment and fine arts is a legacy that continues to flourish. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you want a true description of this school ask someone who is a parent, (like me 😉 and not someone who couldn’t get their child in for some reason.. (as you can see the comment below annoyed me as it comes from someone who obviously doesn’t know the school. it is Simply the best! Not enough words to describe this school. They care about each and every aspect of your child’s development. Good and interesting teaching, preparation for university (lots of people go to Oxford/Cambridge, caurtauld - each to their own choice). Give your child a warm second home and widen their horizons (mine does Spanish, photography and history of Art for A levels). Candy (the headmistress) is caring, clever and knowledgeable in how to run a school.
Your child will get out of there prepared for the university and having friends for life. What else can a parent want..one last thing - I am not English and not Christian and like me there are people from all over the globe and religions in this school which (a fact that I love). This gave my daughter even more of wide horizons and interesting friends.
E’s mom.

The art and graphics departments have amazing teams. They helped my daughter gain some outstanding A level results. They were always there to encourage and push her to her full potential.

If you are interested in a school of the past where notions of Art are dated, rigid and excluding, run by a woman who is stuck in the 70s, by all means go there. We found it dilapidated and dull. It is well known to be a dumping ground for rich, dumb children. The Principal said she had no idea how many students were black (Yes. Really!) The Hampstead School of Art is far more modern and inclusive and the Art reflected that. It is a “No”from us.

This was a really amazing and one of a kind school. I am an American student that lived in London for 3 years, and attended Fine Arts for 2 years. I transferred from an international school that did not care about it's students and had a not great student body. I wanted to come here because I was really interested in pursuing art as a career and wanted to be able to learn as much as possible. I met so many amazing friends here that had the same interests as me and pretty much everyone at the school was nice. The teachers are all very professional, educated, and helpful. I also love the amount of freedom and respect that I was given- we were treated as adults and expected to behave as such. I was able to get lunch with my friends and we called teachers by their first names. In turn, the teachers did have high expectations of us but it was a very rewarding experience. I took my second GCSE year here and my first A level year before I moved back to the USA. Obviously, American public school art programs don't really compare to Fine Arts, and I feel really priveleged that I was able to get that experience and learn so much. I can't reccomend this school enough to anyone interested in art!!!
