This leisure centre used to be great until a few months ago. They have clearly accepted way too many members compared to the number of classes available, and almost every class is full the day sign ups open, with some classes having waiting lists almost as long as the class capacity itself.
The gym is no better, and is cramped and constantly feels full due to its limited space and limited equipment (some of which is out of order for weeks at a time).

Fair price and friendly staff. The pool is nice (although slightly cold). The real issue for me is the swimming changing rooms are often dirty. The floor in all the walkways and cubicles is dirty and there is often rubbish left lying around.

Been going to the gym for the past few weeks. It's quite well equipped, but weight plates are not put away by other members, they're left on bars for you to strip down or stacked randomly anywhere, and 1.25kg plates are almost impossible to find, so good luck increasing by 5kg increments on your sets. The benches they have are made with really slippery leather and they're also the adjustable type that lack proper lumbar support, so basically an injury waiting to happen. The gym floor is mostly clean but there's huge gross dust bunnies between machines. Also, it's pretty much always quite busy. So far I've tried mornings, midday, afternoon, and early evening, and not found a sweet spot.

i’ve been coming here years despite the 15-20 minute drive from Hook as it’s the best gym for miles in my opinion for the price. For a local leisure centre, it’s modern and has great equipment. The classes are varied and the instructors/PTs are enthusiastic - I’ve never had any problems in 5 years with rude staff as other reviews have mentioned, and it’s a great community of friendly regulars here, always welcoming new faces to classes. Free parking 3h is great.
Only downside for me is cleanliness of the loos, but most of the time it’s pretty clean/acceptable.

The actual gym was well equipped and clean. The toilets in the ladies changing rooms were in atrocious condition and really smelled bad. Not a good first impression. I won’t be in a rush to return.

I took my two grandsons to swimming lessons. The teachers were great and both the boys had a great time.
My only criticism is that it was not as clean in the changing rooms as other Everyone Active centres I have been to.

I used to go here frequently and recently I came back. I was very disappointed as I only got to use the small pool and it was not made clear upon purchase. Staff in the swimming pool were very unsympathetic as only two lanes were being used for swimming lessons yet we could use one of the many lanes free Staff at reception were helpful to show which time the main pool would be free, but it was too late. Very disappointing after a 5 mile cycle.
