Such a joy to be part of. Improv has transformed the way I approach various aspects of my life, from meeting new people to public speaking. Alex is a really supportive teacher and it is a friendly and generous community of people. We explore what it is to be human and have a lot of fun along the way - I would recommend to everyone!

I've been a regular member of the improv classes with Here & Now People, and have found it a brilliant way to build confidence and help with thinking on your feet, which has been really useful when doing presentations in my professional work environment and for networking events as well.
Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about dipping their toe in to try it. If you don't enjoy it, you never have to again and what have you lost? Just a bit of time... But if you do enjoy it, as I found when I tried it, what have you gained - it's helped my confidence, given me skills for presenting, been great fun and made a number of good friends from such a welcoming group.

Here & Now People is a fantastic way to get involved with improv, whether you're a curious beginner or a more seasoned improviser with performance ambitions. Alex has a wealth of experience, a playful style and infectious enthusiasm for improv as an artform and as a means of supporting wellbeing, personal development and creativity and anyone who attends his classes or workshops can be guaranteed to have a great deal of fun and gain a lot more besides.

Here & Now became the highlight of my week - I got the nudge to get back into improv and was received into a welcoming group up for letting go and having a laugh. The imagination and playfulness of everyone involved never fails to amaze me. I love the amount of stories which come from each session. Oh, I've had some great improv classes with Alex himself and in workshops taught by others but arranged by Here and Now. Alex came up to Norwich and did a super-useful workshop on Meisner technique that has really made a difference to my practice. He's such a warm and genuine communicator who deals with the very human aspects of improv that I love. I was also delighted that I was able to attend a great class with Katy Schutte on a deserted air base in Suffolk! We're lucky to have Here and Now in East Anglia. Looking forward to hearing about future events.

What I like about Alex’s work is that he makes everyone feel comfortable working in improv, even those of us who feel out of place in front of an audience. “Don’t try to be clever or funny,” really takes the pressure off and allows you to just “be”.
