A Heartfelt Stay at Hilton St. George's Park

My wife and I recently stayed at the Hilton St. George's Park, and what began as a wonderful surprise gift from her, combined with tickets to watch the England U19 Lionesses play Austria, became an even more memorable experience thanks to the exceptional staff.

I've always believed that the true measure of any business isn't how they perform when everything runs smoothly, but how they respond when challenges arise. That's when you truly see their values and leadership in action. We had the opportunity to experience this firsthand when we encountered a minor issue with our room. It wasn't anything major, more cosmetic than functional, but when we mentioned it at the front desk the following day, the response we received was nothing short of extraordinary.

The young gentleman at reception (I'm ashamed I cannot recall his name) immediately took our concerns seriously and promptly involved his manager, Sarah Smith. The way they both handled the situation was truly admirable. They made us feel genuinely heard, cared for, and valued as guests.

I cannot speak highly enough of these two individuals. Sarah, in particular, has a remarkable ability to make you feel like family rather than just another guest. She embodies that increasingly rare, old-school hospitality approach: hands-on, patient, and willing to take whatever time necessary to ensure your complete satisfaction. It's professionals like Sarah and her colleague who form the backbone of any successful business, working tirelessly behind the scenes to smooth out every wrinkle and ensure each guest's experience is exceptional.

I sincerely hope Hilton recognizes and appropriately appreciates these outstanding team members. They are true assets to the organization.

Thank you, Sarah, and thank you to your wonderful colleague. While we may have forgotten your name, we will never forget how you made us feel. When we return from the Cayman Islands, we'll definitely make a point of visiting again.

It is very large and impressive when you arrive. The check-in process was poor in fairness and explaining room location, breakfast, check out, and so on, but I will say none of the staff were rude but just nowhere near the wow factor. Beds are super hard, but that's personal preference. The room wasn't cleaned the best with items left from the previous person and also dirty towels. Breakfast was the highlight, but my overall stay was very average and forgettable. Maybe looking at the outside and walking in, I was expecting more.

It’s the staff that make this hotel so special. They’re so incredibly friendly and can’t do enough for you. We had a lovely time staying with our 2 children (15 & 13) who were in awe of all the pitches and loved using the pool. The breakfast buffet is exceptional too.
We used this hotel as a base to head to Alton Towers.
We’d highly recommend St George’s Hilton and hope to be back one day.

We booked for our son and his wife to stay the night after their wedding. Their room had been decorated with some romantic touches that made the stay feel even more special. They had a lovely meal in the restaurant, used the pool facilities and had a massage in the spa. It all contributed to a lovely relaxing stay to finish off their wedding celebrations

I was impressed from start to finish. There was plenty of parking available, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the gym was great, and the room service was very good. Everything ran smoothly and made for a really enjoyable stay. I’ll definitely be back in the future!

Beautiful setting, beautiful building. The only thing that would have given it 5 stars is having usb charging points in room, and consistent refreshments - some of my colleagues had cans of water - jelly beans etc - my room had std coffee/tea making facilities. As there were many colleagues attending for a conference would have been nice to have consistency.

We had the best weekend celebrating my sons 6th birthday. The staff really went the extra mile to make it really special for him. They put balloons and cakes in our room on arrival and also when we went for dinner and breakfast they gave him balloons and birthday cake. It was such a nice touch and my son felt very spoilt. He was also given a football on our way out of breakfast on Sunday which he loved, very thoughtful. All the staff were lovely, the ladies on the front desk were so friendly and also Mohammed, nothing was too much trouble. In the lounge, Will was very attentive and chatty, we all had a platter each with food and birthday cake again for my son, couldn't fault the service and the food. The hotel is a 30 min drive from the snowdome which the kids really enjoyed. Thank you all so much for making our weekend away so special, we would recommend the hotel to all our friends and family and will definitely be back.

Best thing about the hotel was the breakfast! It was so amazing, so much option. I imagine it’s because of the footballers that stay there but wow.

The view from my room amazing, nice and clean, bed was comfy.

I didn’t use any of the spa facilities but the food was great.
