We need to stay in London reasonably often and usually tend to stay west of the city. For once rates at the Paddington Hilton were acceptable (although still £200+), so we thought we would give it a go. ||We arrived early and knew that a room may not be ready, which it was not. We were offered to upgrade to a suite that was (for a cost), but we declined on the basis that working from the Executive Lounge would be fine for a couple of hours. The Executive Lounge is a decent space and has a good view of Paddington platforms, so you can watch the world go by. Sadly it lacks sunlight (often not a problem in London), but aside from that the lounge was comfortable and well run. ||Around 1pm a trip back to reception confirmed that our room was ready and that due to status we had been upgrade to one of the Tower rooms. The room was a very good size with a decent area off to the side for luggage, jackets and shoes, plus a stool to sit on for putting on shoes, ideally something all hotel rooms would have! The bed was an excellent size, as was the desk. The television was also large, but in such a big room still seemed quite small. The only thing missing from the room was a fridge, which I thought was odd for a high-tier room. There certainly used to be one in the cupboard as you could see the space where an old one had been, but this had not been replaced. That was my only criticism of this room. Getting to the room was slightly frustrating, as it required two different lifts and a fair amount of walking. With minimal luggage this is fine, but with more it was slightly frustrating. ||The bathroom was an excellent size with a separate walk-in shower and bath. The toilet also had a door, which is always appreciated when sharing the room, but there was no self in the toilet for personal items, which I appreciate wouldn’t bother everyone.||The breakfast selection in the main restaurant was very good and set us up well for day. I had a decent cooked-to order omelette.||Due to the location of this hotel it seems to be constantly busy. Certainly if you are arriving by train and the rates are acceptable, it is a good choice. However, due to the number of guests, be prepared to wait at reception while everyone is dealt with. The front desk team seemed to have to work very hard here compared to other hotels I have visited. Credit to them. ||We would be more than happy to stay here again, if the rate was competitive.

Have stayed there for 1 night to catch a train in the following day. The hotel is conveniently connected to the train station. The service was good and the room size was reasonable for European standards. The reception team were wonderful

my brother had a wonderful experience at Hilton Paddington, and I’d like to especially commend Lucas at the front desk. From the moment he arrived, Lucas was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. He made the check-in process seamless and went out of his way to ensure my stay was comfortable and stress-free. His genuine hospitality and friendly demeanor truly elevated the whole experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and well-located, but it’s exceptional team members like Lucas who make it truly memorable. Highly recommend!

I really tried to like this hotel but in the end I wouldn't recommend it, especially not for the price point.
First the positives:
I was positively impressed by the people. Everyone working there was friendly and polite and very helpful. I have no complaints about the staff.

Unfortunately the hotel is quite old and one can feel that. The carpets smell old and musty and look straight from the 80s. The corridors were heated way to high.
The beds are great but some of the furniture was really old. I used one drawer in the dresser underneath the TV and after 5 days my husband had to disassemble the drawer ikea-style and put it back in because it refused to close.
They removed the mini bar fridge at some point but instead of having more storage options there's nothing in that cabinet anymore. (Why not just have a small fridge for your guests anyway)
The hotel room was too warm but the AC fan was really loud and made it impossible to sleep.
I also don't understand the choice of having cheap 2 play toilet paper that falls apart in your hands. One can barely clean themselves with that. Sometimes it's just the small things that can have a negative impact on our experience.

Our room faced the side of the Elizabeth line entrance and every night between roughly 2 to 4 am there was an immense amount of noise coming from the outside, either truck deliveries or construction work. That was really unfortunate and ruined my experience and sleep quality.

The breakfast was good with decent vegan options but near the end of the week they ran out of some things. On Saturday morning it felt like the crew was overwhelmed because they ran out of clean bowls at 7.45.

I was in town for a couple of days and I would normally stay at the Conrad in St James, but it was just too expensive so I thought I'd give the Hilton Paddington a go. Overall I have mixed feelings about the hotel, the location is great and I was able to use both the tube and the #7 and #205 busses to get to my meetings. Both busses stop almost directly outside the hotel, which was convenient. As a lifetime Diamond, I received an upgrade to one of the newer, refurbished rooms in the Brunel wing. The room was OK, but London was experiencing a heatwave and the A/C was just not able to keep up. Exacerbating the situation was the occupancy sensor, which would turn up the A/C if it detected that no one was in the room. This type of sensor is the most stupid design in the world - when you are in bed, sleeping and not moving, the sensor turns up the temp, resulting in you waking up in a pool of sweat. Continuously. It also didn't help that housekeeping would pull the room key out of the master power slot, meaning I returned to a room that was 26.5C (according the the room A/C sensor). It was unbearably hot. |The whole hotel is in need of a deep cleaning. It's a historic building that deserves some care, and when you look at public spaces, you see a lot of dust and grime on things. |The executive lounge was good, the food and beverage offerings were fine. The only let down was the temperature in the lounge, which was toasty, and one A/C unit was actually putting out hot air!! |Overall, I am ambivalent about the Hilton Paddington, and for my next trip I will be back at the Conrad.

Overall this Hilton is fine and met my expectations. Obviously aging but that’s part of the charm, and the location is unbeatable. It’s very fast to get here on the Heathrow Express if you are coming from the airport, and Paddington station has connections to anywhere you’d want to go.||Great Hilton member recognition. I got an upgrade to a suite, free breakfast, club access, and late checkout as a Diamond member. The club is definitely iffy as the offerings are low quality. $3 wine and Budweisers, lol. The food wasn’t good either. Breakfast in the restaurant was better than the lounge offerings.||I would stay again for the right price.

The Hilton Paddington is the old GWR hotel and is next to Paddington station. The room was a good size but I found the room to be a little as stuffy as the air conditioner didn't seem to be very efficient. The staff were attentive and helpful. It is a great location to get around from.

Our second trip to the UK and our go to hotel for location and service. Travelling with two other couples this time and we were so impressed last time that we convinced them to stay here. The staff are all exceptional, friendly and helpful. Fatima at the front desk, could not do enough to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We are looking forward to returning!
