Excellent place they train firefighters from all over the world to fight aircraft fires .. it has a Jaguar fighter aircraft on the fire ground they use to train the firefighters how to extract pilots

An absolutely fantastic place. IFTC is a training college for all aspects of aviation, industrial and offshore firefighting.
Having attended many courses in institutions around the world, I have found it to be the best for subject matter, delivery and quality of practical training. It boasts the most comprehensive facility, while most have 1 or 2 simulators, IFTC has well in excess of 30 sims covering all aspects from low cat to cat 10 scenarios, helideck, fuel farm, BLEVE tanks, confined space, oil rig accommodation blocks…. the list is endless.
What’s even better is you can stay at the accommodation block as a paying customer, just look on booking sites for IFTC and stay with dinner and breakfast included!!!!

The building itself is from World War Two when it was used as a Canadian bomber command site with a wealth of history behind it.

A bit quirky but worth it if your into that kid of thing 😁

I attended 4 courses in the 90s while working at Coventry airport, every course was as professional and enjoyable as the last, you start as an individual and always end up as a team with great friends. I’m 65 now and run a guest house in Elgin, Scotland. I always wish I could go back and do it all over again! Very special memories..😊

Efficient aircraft fire training! Very friendly and skilled instructors. Really beneficial exercises on Cat 5, 8 and even 10. Plus several helicopters and a military aircraft. Accommodation also on point. Highly recommendable!

Perfectly provide training for fire fighters. Skilled professional instructors. Friendly staff and of course social Phoenix Bar. Cooperate with IFTC for many years and need no any changes. Reality of exercises can be hardly beaten (especially in compare with clean propane fires).
