Both of our boys have attended Kip (Shipley) for the 11+ over the last few years and have been successful in reaching the required standard and gaining a place at their school of choice. We did try other tuition places for our youngest but ended up back at Kip. Gael /Roy and the rest of the team are super helpful and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is also much more relaxed and has a welcoming family feel to it. So much that our youngest actually enjoyed attending his lessons there. Would highly recommend Kip (Shipley) for anyone interested in the 11+ or even for just some extra help with their schoolwork.

My daughter started at Kip Shipley when she was struggling with Maths, looking like she would not pass. We visited a few private tutors but as soon as we visited Kip Shipley I got that feeling of when you are looking for a new house, you know within the first few minutes of walking in that it's for you or not.

Me and my daughter spoke to Gael and she was so warm and welcoming without the stuffiness of other places that we had visited, it felt like we had known her for years. My daughter was noticeably comfortable there and so there was no doubt we had found the right fit.

Gael introduced her to her tutor Roy and her grade in Maths quickly started to improve and she has just got her GCSCE'S and got a 7 which is a massive improvement since she started at Kip on a 4.

I would not hesitate in recommending to others or sending my youngest daughter there. The tutors are so calm and down to earth and great communicators instilling confidence in your child.

My eldest daughter attended Kip McGrath Shipley for 2 years running up to her 11+ exams. She thrived in the fun and friendly learning environment that the founders Gael and Roy have created and she (secretly!) looked forward to going every Saturday. Thanks to Kip McGrath Shipley's help she was successful in both of her 11+ exams, and she's now enjoying her first year of secondary school at North Halifax Grammar.

All being well - and with the continued support from Kip McGrath Shipley - she'll be joined by her younger sister in a couple of years time.

Finally, it's just worth mentioning that Gael and Roy switched premises in summer 2019, and their new learning centre is lovely and bright, with easy access for pick up and drop offs.

Both of my daughters have been to Kip McGrath in Shipley to help them gain confidence and keep up in maths at school. My eldest now scores 7s in maths leading up to GCSEs this year, whilst my youngest (9) needed to be taught a modern maths approach which isn't the way I learned.
She now feels comfortable with the pace and ideas of maths at school and we are grateful to Gael and Roy for helping her grow so quickly. The cost is reasonable and the tutors are keen for students to sit every lesson which has been paid for so offer catch-up sessions in case of illness or unavailability from the student.
There is a free assessment and you can get a good deal when paying in advance for a full term, weekly on a day that suits you.
If your child needs a little help to get back on track in one of the key skills taught at school, just message and have an initial session to see how they go.

My daughter as Been at kip Macgrath a while now. She as improved so much in a short time. She does both maths and English. She’s gained so much more confidence as well. I would encourage people to take there children. Amazing place with fantastic teachers

My daughter (8 YO) went to Kip post-COVID as a catch up. She has made great progress in both maths and English. The tutors are really good, hands on and look after the kids really well. Would recommend.

Highly recommend this centre, Roy and Gael are amazing and really work hard to help the children to achieve their full potential. My daughter attended Kip Mcgrath for help with English Lit A Level and obtained a grade A last week!!
