I did the chainsaw maintenance and cross-cutting course with Lee and couldn‘t have asked for a better experience. Very well-structured two days, Lee explained everything really well, was encouraging and supportive, and made it fun (despite the rain). I had no previous chainsaw experience and feel confident and excited about using and maintaining one now! Also, the cabin is in a stunning location, and Lee went above and beyond in helping with my logistics of getting there. 5 stars!

Highly recommend LBS Training. Lee offers a great range of NPTC courses, prompt communication and help arranging courses and has a nice little spot in the woods with facilities to make for a good learning environment.

Lee is a fantastic instructor and fully deserves recognition for the effort he and his business put in to training guys like me.
I did the Cross Cut, Maintenance course, immediately followed by Felling 380mm with Lee in the space of a week. My prior chainsaw experience was exactly zero, and after 4 days patient instruction by Lee I passed both of my assessments on the 5th day.
You can tell Lee really cares about his students and their education, taking his time with those who have less experience (me) but also being considerate of others who may have several years experience. At no time was i left behind, and I felt fully supported in my learning through both courses.
The courses and instruction have been worth every penny I put into them, and I can’t wait to crack on with further training at LBS.

P.S. I can’t remember the last time I was this tired - it’s a physical and mental challenge but the cups of tea certainly helped out!

Lee was great. Very clear with explanations, patient and knowledgeable. He seemed very good at reading the needs of his students and identifying areas where extra help may of been needed. Taking the time to make sure everyone in the group had everything necessary to move to the next step of their training/education. Highly recommended!

Had a great time on my 2 day felling course. Lee was super patient and made us all feel comfortable from the get go.

He took his time explaining everything thoroughly and gave demonstrations on things before we tried them which was really helpful. No question was too silly or simple to ask and Lee answered them simply but effectively so we understood.

If you need any form or training I would highly recommend Lee and I will definitely be
going back and doing more courses in the future.

Just had a great couple of days training with Lee for the chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting course. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was taught in a relaxed environment. Finished today and I’ve already booked my next course with Lee at LBS!

Great place to learn. I've done a couple of courses through Lee, chainsaw in a tree and 380+. Both were amazing courses and knowledgeable and patient instructors. Will definitely come back for more training.

Lee is a fantastic instructor with a great passion for the job. I have had the pleasure of doing my CS30, 31, 38, and 39 with Lee and Tom and have learnt a great deal in a very easy-going and pleasant environment. Both Lee and Tom do a great job of going above and beyond what you need to learn for the assessments, and ensure you are ready to take your courses and apply them straight away. Lee has also been very accommodating, working around any issues with the dates of my assessments. Could not recommend Lee more for all arb training.
