I can recommend Jane from Learning Ladders 100%!
She’s taught my son both Maths and English in preparation for his GCSE’s and her commitment to his learning is second to none! She’s provides excellent weekly lessons, resources, techniques for structuring, word banks, work booklets, revision, and not forgetting the surprise treats delivery too.
Jane is on Instagram posting daily updates for quick tasks/exercises and other advice, she constantly makes herself available to the children and parents for additional support on all platforms. Jane has helped my son believe in himself so he was exam ready!
Jane’s communication and organisation is outstanding too.

Jane has been a fantastic teacher with helping me progress in maths and English. Since first coming to learning ladders in year 8 I have progressed very much in both maths and English. If you are thinking about getting Maths and English tuition do not hesitate, Jane is the person you need. My child joined Jane at the beginning of year 11 to support with his GCSEs. The amount of time, effort and detail that Jane puts into helping to steer learning is just beyond all my expectations her approach is so caring. I asked Jane to help tutor my daughter in both maths and English as she was struggling in both, my daughter is now starting GCSEs with so much more confidence it’s been wonderful watching her flourish. Jane has helped to embed a multitude of knowledge and has supported her throughout her journey towards GCSEs this support will continue thought her exams. With Jane’s help and support her mock exam grades have moved up and school have noticed big changes in my daughters work and confidence I’m very confident she will succeed in her exams. My daughter Ruby who is in year 11 has been attending online tuition for maths and English for 1 year now.
Jane is a truly outstanding teacher, her commitment and dedication to help build confidence in Ruby’s chosen subjects is phenomenal. I would reccomend learning ladders to anyone. Jane is a fantastic tutor, you can contact her anytime and she always answers, she's also completely honest and manages expectations realistically. So where do I start with the 5 star I have given... the beginning I guess!
We approached Learning Ladders on multiple recommendations from friends as our then 15yo daughter was falling behind with both her English and Mathematics and needed additional support. From the off Jane has been so supportive to ourselves and to our Daughter. Firstly we were given tuition packs which outlined what would be studied and learned throughout the sessions. The first few sessions our daughter was a changed girl in relation to learning (genuinely)! Study packs were delivered to our door with "treats" to assist with revision/learning which personally I thought was a massive bonus. Weeks rolled into months and sessions twice a week have made a huge impact on our daughters grades. Even her school teachers at parents evening asked us what or who it was that had changed the outlook on her learning and brought her on further than thier classroom learning. Additional online (instagram) chat room where our daughter is able to ask questions and interact were a real game changer. So now as our daughter sits in the middle of her GCSE's she is massively confident going into her exams. As I write this, just this morning was her Mathematics exam. Minutes after it finished I had a phone call from our daughter who actually said "I actually used the workings that Jane showed us and I got the same answers twice".
So if you are wondering if Learning Ladders is for your child, wonder no more!
Once our son reaches age where he will be needing tuition, we will definitely use the services of Jane and learning ladders.
