Very informative. Church stained glass was beautiful. Surrounding area is peaceful, tranquil and a great escape. Cute little shop with some homemade marmalades and honey, as well as handmade gifts to do with Alice in wonderland.

Located in an extension on All Saints' Church, Daresbury, the Lewis Carroll Centre is well worth a visit. Lots to read and discover, including images of characters in a stained glass window, within the church itself.

Really interesting place for adults We live locally and have been several times. There is a lot of information (for adults) about Lewis Carroll and his family. It could be made more interesting for young children if there could be included dolls and toys etc relevant to Alice. There is room for display cabinets. Our granddaughters aged 6 and 10 were disappointed as there was nothing to hold their interest.

Don't get the idea that this is a museum in the typical sense.
It's worth a quick stop in but it's just a room with a few tales, stories and pictures from his youth and stories.

It's not ideal for kids because there's nothing for them to do and although I intend to bring my wife back to see it there isn't much else to do once you've been there for five minutes.

It is worth a visit though, especially if you like visiting old buildings, we stepped next door into the church and it was absolutely beautiful!

Lovely church with loads of information and beautiful museum room built off the side of the original church building. Notice the bottom panel of this window is Alice in Wonderland characters.
