Amazing experience doing the beginners weaving workshop on the floor looms. Such a beautiful studio, Brook was amazing and we had so much fun. Highly recommend to budding creatives and people who never considered doing this - a wonderful afternoon. We booked four hours and it flew by.

Make Town is the perfect space for creatives, makers, sewers, and weavers. The studio is cozy and colorful, and a perfect space to learn a new craft, or get reacquainted with an old one. I highly recommend the weaving workshops - 'Freestyle Weaving' and 'Intro to the Loom' (the photos are from this 2-day session). As an weaving beginner this was a perfect place to start - Brooke and Ali's expertise made learning how to weave fun and approachable. Definitely check this place out!

Had a whale of a time!! We loved every minute of our weaving workshop at Make Town. Brooke was super friendly, approachable and made the whole experience easy and lots of fun. We learnt to weave on the floor looms, and were surprised by how big our finished pieces were at the end of the 2 hours. Such a relaxing craft, very meditative, and so satisfying to come away with a new skill and a beautiful weaving. Two of us have now turned ours into cushions, and they are pride of place on our sofas. We will one thousand percent be back for more!!

I recently attended a class at Maketown as a complete beginner, and I was honestly a bit apprehensive about jumping in without any prior experience. However, the teacher was incredibly informative and patient, never making me feel awkward or out of place for needing extra help. It was such a relief to feel supported throughout the class.

One of the standout things about Maketown is the sense of community. Despite the range of experience levels in the room, everyone was so welcoming and friendly, which made the whole experience much more enjoyable. It really felt like a positive, inclusive environment where everyone could learn at their own pace.

Maketown has definitely won me over, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone, whether you’re a beginner or more experienced.

I visited Make Town for a loom weaving workshop and had a great time, the staff is lovely and the shop is full of colours, tools and books for sewing and knitting.

I booked the 3 hours slot so I had time to learn how the loom works thanks to the amazing Becky and get a coffee table runner completed.

This is great for beginners to learn weaving basics but very satisfying as I managed to experiment with colours and have a little project completed, I highly recommend it!
