What an amazing and informative service. The advice i received was so helpful. When I rang ACAS for employment advice they didn't go out of their way to want to help. Maternity Action clearly know the law and were able to provide the best maternity advice to a pregnant lady experiencing issues at work. Without maternity action I would not have known what to do.. my situation was not straight forward and no amount of googling or calling other organizations helped - yes it was not easy to get through as they are a charity and do not have unlimited resources but when I did I was given nothing but excellent professional help and compassion. This helped me resolve the situation with my work with my employer and empowered me to stand up for my rights and get this resolved amicably with a beneficial outcome for myself. Working for a global company with over 50,000 employees I had thought initially 'how can they be wrong' but my instincts told me I was being unfairly treated and maternity action helped me unpick the facts against the legal basis. This truly is an excellent service and a total lifeline for women in seemingly impossible situations feeling like there is no where to turn. 100% recommend them

Alexandra Gess has been AMAZING working on my case. My GP advised me to give maternity action a call due to pregnancy discrimination. I can honestly say that this has been the best service I have worked with. My solicitor form maternity action kept me well informed and did all she could to ensure things were motivated accurately and correctly. I wouldn’t have been able to cope without Alexandra and I am extremely thankful that there are dedicated organisations ready to challenge injustice.

Based on my experience, MA is an organisation I would definitely recommend. All you need to know is on their website and you will not feel disappointed, well I wasn’t.

They also provide peer support/mentor. I was allocated to Asma. Although we haven’t had alot of sessions- however from the session I have had with her- very compassionate, supportive and encouraging.

Maternity Action works with heart and so much professionalism to support women/families in need of legal advice. We couldn't have done it without their support. We have very sadly lost our 2nd son during 6 months of pregnancy and besides all the heartache and loss that will always be there, we have won our case. It took a long fight and having had to go through a tribunal hearing but it was worth to take it there for justice and any families that would ever enquire such clarification. We are forever grateful to MA.
