A fantastic viewpoint with 180 degree views up and down the lake. Set in an old ruin that's been modernised for the many visitors it receives, its stylised with its stained glass framed windows. The National Trust looks after it well, sporting many trails in and around the area and a stones throw from the Ferry Crossing for cars and pedestrians alike. The viewpoint has a Joey's cafe with coffee, food and a variety of other things, loads of seating outside, toilets are located by the ferry crossing so you have to walk over. A great stop if your heading around the lake.

Great spot and an easy walk from the ferry landing point for those that are less mobile. Lovely scones and homemade cakes in Joe's cafe tooπŸ‘πŸ₯°

Views of The Lakes are what makes this park of the world special.
And the viewing station provides you with some spectacular views.
A steep walk up to the viewing area and when you leave some walks around the lake or to Wray Castle to continue the views.
Little cafe at the bottom is a great pit stop for a piece of cake and use of the toilet .
Enjoy the views .

You only need a little time here. The viewing station is small, you may have to wait to take snaps of the views depending on how busy it is. Worth the wait. Very scenic. Go and visit!

Worth visiting this free viewing station for some excellent views along Windermere.
The ferry docks on the west side near by.
There is a vegan cafe in the entrance selling ice creams, pastries and drinks.
Warning: Take care on the road when parking as there are some enormous potholes which are difficult to spot whilst avoiding walkers and other vehicles as it is narrow. There are some free parking spaces further on from the pay and display ones.

If great views are what you are after than this place is a must visit.

Come and enhoy the views from this history rich location. Imagine what it might have been like to live in the house back and in the day or get invited to a dinner soiree here and have to take a boat across the lake to get there.

Climb all the way to the top of Claife and enjoy the vast views.

Amazing view of Windermere from the viewing station. You can also enjoy the walk from Ash Landing car park and take photos of plants!

Although the Claire viewing platform is not an overwhelming experience, the walk from this area to Wray Castle is a beautiful walk, on a divisor hardcore party all the way. It is possible to cycle on this path, there is one slight incline, until you reach the castle, then a short steep-ish climb up to the castle. Stunning views and castle from the outside, but very disappointing inside, 'come on Nation Trust' no furniture or decor to see and another property where you can't currently view the upstairs of the property πŸ™„
Joey's cafe is a welcome stop, but their prices are higher than they should be!
