Turned up quite late so only had time to tour the gardens but would love to return and explore more. Wonderful gardens with so many areas to explore. Beautifully maintained. Once again our National Trust membership showed that it pays for itself handsomely over the course of a year.

It is personallyamong the top 10 gardens from National Trust in the UK. And I have been in over 300 around the whole country. The colours, variety, textures and landscapes are just breathtaking.
You just feel awe and admiration.
There is an amazing exhibition of dried flowers frames.
It wasn't a warm day but could have stayed all day long. A must during flowers season!
And well done to all the gardeners!

Beautiful garden with many features well mapped for routes with steps hills easy to see most of the garden on the flat paths. Only a few rooms open in the house, but interesting nevertheless. Would recommend the introduction talk. Lovely Café but I would not leave lunch too late as the soup and pasties go quickly.

We visited during kids half term holidays (Oct 2024), arrived early wasn't busy so went straight in (carpark was full when we left). Absolutely stunning property / grounds. Said we must return when the gardens are in bloom. Nice shop and cafe too. Definitely worth a visit.

This was our first visit to Hidcote, we were totally surprised at the turn of every garden into another. The autumn colours were just starting to show, with some stunning flowers on show too. We took our dog in, I believe this is only just been allowed 3 days a week, as long as on short leads. There were a few place with no access to dogs, but this did not spoil the experience.

Created by Major Lawrence Johnston, the garden features a series of outdoor “rooms,” each with its own unique character.

Each garden has beauty and variety. The garden rooms are filled with a diverse array of plants, including exotic species collected by Johnston during his plant-hunting expedition. Highlights include the vibrant red borders with dahlias and salvias and the serene lily pond.

The garden is well-maintained and offers a peaceful retreat with picture views at every turn.

This place is worth a visit, it's only £10 for adults, members free, but the amount of things you can see here are wonderful. There's a book shop on site, a cafe, an old thatched barn and lots of different plant species to look around.
There were quite a few places cornered off in the gardens, without warning us you couldn't go that way, so that was quite frustrating that we couldn't do the route we had planned originally. However this didn't deter from the lovely sights we saw today. There's some interesting facts about toxic plants dotted around, some activities for children and a few different routes to take to suit you and your abilities. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful.
From what I could see of the advertising, they have started to introduce dogs being allowed in the ground for 3 days a week. So double check that if you're planning on bringing them along! All in all, would recommend

Lovely park with field of sheep and maze gardens. Shame we visited during the autumn as there were some parts that would have looked amazing during summer with blossoming flowers. There were a few sections there that were sadly not so great to see during autumn but the main gardens were beautiful and well maintained. Great for a family day out.
