I attended the adult learning evening courses for beginners and intermediate motorcycle mechanics - brilliant courses, I learnt so much! Really demystified mechanics for me and gave me the confidence to work on my own bikes. The sessions are 3 hours in the evening, for 10 weeks and are a mix of theory and practical. Hope this course runs for many years to come, as not many places offer this anymore. I keep recommending it to all my biker friends across the country! I just wish they still offered the advanced training course.

I would give them a zero star rating, if the option were available. I believe this college is well overdue an oftsed inspection and Hackney Council should take stock of student feedback when reviewing their financial commitment to the health and leisure programmes. I and various other students found our interaction with the college extremely stressful which defeats the very premise of the health and wellbeing course.

The admissions team, management and front of house are beyond incompetent, it beggars belief how they retain their job. I guess warnings and disciplinary actions are a thing of the past as the college complaint and senior managements appear to be unwilling to take necessary actions to remedy recurring patterns of incompetence in their staff team. I was wrong to assume that signing up for their adult health and leisure evening courses, would be a nourishing skill development opportunity. The entire experience (excluding faculty) was incredibly disappointing. If the staff team felt so emboldened to treat new/prospective adult learners with utter contempt, one can only wonder how they treat their 16-18 year old, student population.

Absolutely horrible college. The catering course is a shitty course. Do not choose catering the staff only care about their reputation they don’t care about the students mental health.

I visited several colleges and providers to find what is suitable for my son. And I did this after a very bad experience that I had at the B&D College. I attended the Open Day Event today in Ardleigh Green Campus. Congratulations to the organizers. Everything was well organized, easy to gather information, very well structured. Compared to the previous experience in B&D College, the difference is huge and clearly positive for New City College. A warm and welcoming atmosphere, the ambience of a committed academic environment. The best feedback I received was from my son, a person with special needs, who, to express that he wanted to go there, copied himself the whole application form I filled out for him first. His application form copy is a confirmation of his desire. This is in a situation it is quiet difficult for him to concentrate on any activity for more than 25 minutes. I have a great deal of confidence in his decision.

For today, "Chapeau" New City College

Complete waste of my time. Incompetent Administration is a compliment in this instance. Education establishments should be punished and penalised for messing people about and supplying false information which affects students education and work. Maybe they might start to become more organised. Until then they will probably remain useless and incompetent.

“The foundation to every successful ‘workplace’ is to priotise staff wellbeing and promote their hard work.”

Not only does New City College miserably fail to do this, they do not care for their staff especially support staff. This is evident in the number of staff leaving, staff are leaving one after the other like dominos, people will be shocked if they see how many staff have left particularly at the Hackney campus till this day today. Majority of the staff you see now are all new. They don’t even have a staff room, well-being room, and lunch runs out way before a staff can even go on lunch. The lunch itself is also very limited (one piece of chicken per staff/ a table spoon of gravy) some senior staff have also experienced this. The staff toilets are absolutely disgusting. Majority of The Senior Management Team are very careless including the CEO himself. The CEO worries more about a faulty TV in campus rather than staff well-being.

It's honestly hard to believe that the management of an educational establishment could treat their staff this way.
