My autistic son goes to this college, my son didn’t go on Monday because I told him to stay at home because of passing on his cold and cough, I am a single parent and I am bed bound because my joints are painful with arthritis and I have a huge clot and was again in hospital, anyway when my son came back from college I asked him if his tutor asked him why he didn’t attend on Monday and he said they not even bothered mummy and that really hurt my feelings I’ve called wanting to speak to one of his tutors every time is we’ll get them to call but they never do and it’s just makes my depression worse as I am typing it’s after midnight but I am stressed about my son, it’s such a shame and it makes me really upset because I love my son and all I want is for the college to take care of our vulnerable children not neglect them, bringing dogs to class children squabbling quarrelling it’s weird my son records everything that takes place and you ask him what he’s tutor says it’s the same he doesn’t care, he sent his tutor a text but still no reply it’s a college you there to learn keep your phone in your jacket on silent but it’s happening constantly, I tell him off about it and it’s such a shame if tutor doesn’t care what do I do! I’m not well I have carers three times a day I cannot wait to get better I want to go to that college and hear what excuse they going to give me I need an explanation because it’s unfair!

I'd give this lower if i could, the education system is CORRUPT they scam you into thinking they can provide for autistic/disabled people but it's the complete opposite, i required a TA but no matter how much we pleaded I didn't get one until halfway through my GCSES AND the lifts are constantly broken, other non disabled students keep breaking them and the college just lets them get away with it. DON'T BRING YOUR DISABLED CHILD HERE THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM. They didn't provide me basic support and the gcse core math teacher is awful at teaching disabled students, she explains everything too fast and doesn't pause, shouts at students that don't understand a topic and another issue i noticed is that they're ableist, and the college does nothing about it nearly EVERY teacher in adams is incredibly ableist. This is disgusting, you told me you couldn't support me when i only asked for BASIC NEEDS yet you couldn't provide it. Thanks Nottingham college

Worse experience ever , did 1 year of Film and TV production and lecturers barely know how to each. They missed out so much , for example , they made us do a project but didn't teach us the mains and the principles which are editing videos and so on. Graphics module is even worse , had to do zoom calls for a module that should've been taught face to face. Sometimes they dont even attend to lectures.

Rooms weren't even available majority of the time and literally people paying 9k for what ?

95% of students either dropped out or failed due to the lack of support and teaching. You can complain but nothing will happen. Course structure wasn't even that good , they taught things that weren't even relevant to the course.

Their cameras and equipment's aren't even reliable and not good tbh. Hygiene is even more shocking.

They will say to you that "we spent millions and thousands on college development and teaching" they couldn't even afford to buy a new sofa for people to use down the hall way. Broken elevator and if you're disabled or have a disability then good luck as their lift is probably the worst.

Aggressive security guards as well , went to the city hub to get equipment's didn't let as apparently I'm not registered with them.

Stairs /steps inside Adams building almost gonna collapse and Don't even know why they still let people use them.

This is heads up for people and don't be deceived by what you see on their website seriously.

I am currently doing an online course (diversity and equality) and their website and its format is a piece of junk and keeps losing my answers to the questions for my assessment.
I won't be doing another online course with Nottingham College and unless you want to waste your time answering questions twice or three times, I would suggest you don't do online courses with them either.

Recent reviews have to be paid, there’s no one genuinely I know including myself who’s had a good time here. Things are very disorganised, no communication and the lessons are like nursery lessons. Place makes no effort to teach you they’ll stick you on YouTube for the majority of duration of the course and then moan when they actually have to assist and help you. Bullying is horrendous here and what makes it worse is the staff knowing full well it’s going on even in front of them in class, but do nothing about it and act as if it isn’t a thing. Finally, the safeguarding is none existent especially with the amount of fights and students disappearing.

This place has always been a dump. I went here to do A levels in the late 90s and the teaching was shocking. I ended up teaching myself and got 3 Cs; if I'd have followed the course I would have got 3 Ds/Es. One guy was teaching the wrong syllabus for 6 months. It should have been forcibly closed down years ago.

Ven Dixon

I'm a second year student. When I first came here to study my course was brand new and while that made it difficult since we were the guinea pigs, so to speak, I really enjoyed and thrived in the challenge. The staff are very friendly and approachable, clearly caring a lot for those under their care. The staff in Media, Administration, Student Finance and Student Learning Support are also very helpful and friendly, making them easy to talk to and approach with issues. My class in particular was very diverse with a range of interesting and inspirational people. The two years I spent here did have their high and low points but I feel like I have learned a lot and gained a strong sense of freedom and self I definitely didn't have before.
