As a complete beginner I attended the one week course. Prior to starting I received fantastic help and guidance from Rachel with my various questions and queries! On attending the course Stuart was very patient and helpful as he explained and demonstrated to me what I needed to do at various stages. The group of people I joined were very lovely and welcoming too! Overall it was a wonderful experience and felt incredible to achieve my first ever upholstery project. Big thanks to Stuart and Rachel - I will be back!! 😃

I have just been on one of the week courses that Oxford School of Upholstery runs and it has been absolutely brilliant. The teaching and support was fantastic and I met some lovely and interesting people. The workshop space and facilities give you access to everything tools and materials wise and if you need anything extra the team is around to share suppliers or to give advice. Can't wait to book myself onto another course for the next exciting project. Below a before and after of the project I completed in just 4 days. Highly recommend it is a really special place. Thanks to all the team.

I completed the One Week Course at Oxford School of Upholstery and absolutely loved it. The workshop had just been renovated and looked fab. All the teachers were so patient and knowledgeable and being in a small class you got to chat to everyone else on the course who were also lovely. I couldn't believe how much I achieved in just 4 days, and cannot wait to book another week with a new project! Some before and after photos of the chair I reupholstered -

Very happy to have discovered this fabulous place. Over our recent 4-day workshop, my sister and I transformed a (facebook freebie) sofa, expertly guided by the ever patient Stuart and Catherine. The environment in the school is great, as you work alongside a small group of people, and so have the opportunity to observe techniques involved in a whole variety of other projects. My next upholstery project is already being planned - and I'm absolutely sure I'll be back to the Oxford School!

After attending a one week course at Oxford School of Upholstery in November 2022, I really got the upholstery bug. After the initial week I carried on with my project and am now attempting an ottoman. Stuart and Rachel and the rest of the team have been so flexible to let me attend a few days at a time to help fit in with other commitments. Stuart is an excellent and exceedingly patient teacher with extensive knowledge of many different upholstery methods. I am absolutely itching to get back in to the workshop once the children are back at school!

An absolutely brilliant experience, I learnt so much. I have spent 2 wonderful weeks at Oxford School of Upholstery in the past couple of months and I can't recommend it highly enough. Stuart is a fantastic teacher, very skilled and really patient, and all the teaching is very involved with each student getting all the attention and help they need. The atmosphere there is great, and you learn not only from Stuart, but all the other students, hearing all about their experiences, and learning from each other's mistakes along the way. The whole team at the school are fab, and I really loved every second I spent there. I also left with 2 fantastic modern pieces of furniture that I had made, and I am really proud of. I cannot wait to get back to learn more. If you fancy trying upholstery, or want to hone your skills, this is the best place and I can highly recommend. Thank you so much Stuart, Rachel and all of you at Oxford School of Upholstery, and hope see you again soon!
