Fantastic day out had by all. Met by Nathan who was assigned to us for the day we had 3 activities booked, high ropes, archery and zipline.
The wonderful Aaron was our designated instructor for the day and what a day it was! So much fun had on all activities including a really fun archery session that had us saving "Princess Aaron". A few football sessions and cricket inbetween which Nathan joined in with and an ice cream at the end of the day.
Our guides Nathan and Aaron were what really made the experience for us, helpful, social and they made us all feel really welcome and relaxed!

We will 100% return and hopefully so will Aaron and Nathan next year.

Another fantastic holiday with PGL, during October half term, so a Halloween theme. Great fun.

They advertise a big castle with great activities, what they don't tell you is thet you stay in run down flats with no cameras and doors that don't lock. The food was dryer than the Saharah, and the portions made me feel like I was in WW1. Activities were mediocre, rooms had school ceilings, next to no headspace and showers in cubicles. 0/10. Would not recommend.

Worst experience ever.

At first, all of my mates were hyped up for the supposed 'happy holiday' we had been expecting for a long while, and we payed £350. It took 2 or 3 hours for us to get to our destination, and when we got out of a coach full of leg cramp and farts, we were immediately greeted with a replica of a german concentration camp. For the first lunch, we had to sit on the side of the road and eat the food we had in our bags while it was rainy and windy. Next, we didn't even get into our cabins, we did our first activity straight away (which was lowkey boring and scary from someone with a fear of heights). Then we finally got to see our cabins, and I was completely disappointed. Bathrooms? Hell naw. Beds? I found a rotten sour patch kid on mine. Hygiene itself? Abomination. Fyi, the dinner was even worse than prison food.

Second day was RANK. I woke up to my chatty annoying classmates who can't keep their mouths shut as tight as the titanic doors. It was again rubbish weather :(. I'm not gonna talk about the activities this time because I know you just want to move on to the next 1 star review (sorry). Though there is only ONE activity which you will need to listen up on. It was some sort of "passport" thing, where you had to find these flags across the PGL site. This activity was immediately ruined by people who went missing inside the woods to ding dong ditch the castle. No one was willing to search for them because A. it was night and B. There was a rumour spreading around that the castle was supposedly 'haunted'. They got found, but they got in so much trouble to the point that no one liked them. All of us were crying (including me because I was homesick) , and none of us got sleep that night.

Third day... was tiring. Everyone wanted to go home because of last night's incidents. People started to make groups against and for the people who went missing, and everyone just wanted to go home. The tunnels gave us a million bruises, and it also made me claustrophobic.

Fourth day was boring but we were packing up, and we were hyped to finally leave this hellhole. (Extra info: I saw at least 3 trains on the way back home, and as a train enthusiast i really enjoyed it), and we went SPRINTING to our parents like we just came back from WW1. Happy ending, but rubbish memories.

PS: Someone at my school who went to PGL before me had fallen off the balance thingy on the puzzle pieces and got stabbed by a rock (they ended up in A&E and got stitches but luckily they're still breathing).

Generally not worth it.

Great place for taking school kids 8-12.
High ropes, Jacob's Ladder, Leap of Faith, Laser Tag, Zip Wire, Canoeing..... you get the picture
Instructors full of energy and helpful on all activities.
Food pretty similar to school canteen, but good salad selection too.
Accommodation clean and basic but all rooms have en suite so good on that front.
We came in June so weather was great. Not sure what it's like climbing in colder months.

We have just returned from a five day trip with a group of young people, and the staff were incredible.

A special shoutout to Nico, who consistently checked in on us, adjusted activities to meet our needs, and brought fantastic energy.

We had some staff and young people who were fasting, and the kitchen team went above and beyond to ensure they had warm food for breaking their fast and provided a box of snacks for overnight.

Huge thanks to the staff who helped us prank some of our young people; your dedication was outstanding.

The only downside was not being able to check into my room until 4 pm, despite arriving at noon. The cleaning manager appeared uninterested and somewhat rude, unlike the rest of the staff who were always eager to assist.

Thank you, ( Jameela and The Turn Around Project)
