My journey started by applying on indeed and within half a day I received a call from the company telling me about a job opportunity working as a teaching assistant in a SEN secondary school. I then jumped onto a quick video call with the loveliest person called Madison, she asked me about my interests, my previous work experience and what skills I have, and if I would be interested in working within a SEN school. She was extremely down to earth and it was like a genuine conversation. For the past 3 months I have been working at the school and Madison has been extremely supportive throughout my experience and boosted my confidence on a number of occasions. I have recently been unwell and was worried about how this may affect my performance and Madison was able to be understanding and provided me reassurance. They are fantastic at supporting people that may have not necessarily came from having experience but focus on the personal skills that you already have and build from there. I have had a great experience with Progress teachers so far. After being out of work for around four months I was finding it really difficult to get back into work but shauna Mullins from Progress teachers really helped me. She got me back into work within the week that I had applied and had found me the perfect school for me to start my career at. She is so kind and she really tries to support me!
