Always very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable in the office. We have a couple of moorings on the river and know that our boats are safe and closely watched by the patrol boats. Just wish RIBs would keep their speed down!

I bring my grandchildren here to go crabbing. It is an activity they all really love and very competitive as they have their own buckets. Its the count at the end that gets really tense as the crabs are counted out of the bucket before being repatriated to the murky depths. Three high tides a day, but be careful when 'Googleing' the tide tables for Warsash, some give you the times in GMT only, some convert to BST. If you rely on GMT only in the summer you will be disappointed, as it will be an ebb tide (out), (the crabs follow the tide). Best times are when the tide is on the flow (in) and at high tide. Our record so far this year is 65 crabs in 90 mins.

Excellent visitor moorings and cost effective, good walks along the river and access to services. Chandlery and restaurants with good pubs both sides the river. Friendly helpful service.

This is a very scenic viewing area which looks out over the mouth of the River Hamble as it enters the much larger Southampton Water.
