I would like to give a massive thanks to Chris Poole, he made me feel very comfortable all the way through, 6 days of training.. And now after passing I really feel like a professional driver.

Hi all,
I would highly recommend RS Training if you are looking to get a class 1 HGV licence, Chris Pooley is a very competent and professional instructor, who is wise beyond his age!
I passed on my second attempt, but that was no fault of Chris'. I booked a retest through RS 10 days after my first fail, and after 2 and a half hours with Chris ironing or my stupid mistakes, at the age of 56, I have achieved a life long ambition, all thanks to Chris' training and patients.
I would highly recommenced RS Training if you want to also become a HGV driver!

Highly recommend this company! Have just done my weeks training with Chris on class 1 hgv. Had my test today and passed first time with only 5 minors. Wasn’t that nervous going in to it and that’s thanks to Chris. Having only had a weeks training and passing first time felt amazing. Before arriving on the first day I felt a tad sick and nervous but after a while that subsided with the support and teachings of Chris. Chris gets the point across to you, teaches you and makes sure you feel calm and confident. He engages with you and can have a laugh all while making sure you get up to test standards. Top chap and very knowledgeable. Would like to say a huge Thankyou to Chris and the RS team back in the office! Especially Claire who organised the training with the job center and kept us up to date with the progress when she could and put up with weekly calls from myself and others.

Thankyou again from one very happy newly qualified hgv driver, and I look forward to doing my Module 4 CPC with you next month!

From day one Chris was very supportive and understanding with training, straight away I knew I had gone with the right company, Chris was very patient with my bad habits and helped me to make right of them, he was everything you could ask for in a trainer, provided a complete and thorough training through my Cat C training. I have just done my LGV training ant test through RS. Chris was exceptionally easy to communicate with & made me feel confident that I could pass the test throughout. He allowed me to have input in what I wanted to work on, which I found very helpful. I would highly recommend Chris as an instructor.

Excellent training on Counter Balance and Reach trucks including double reach. The course was very thorough and challenging but enjoyable. Well thought out and presented by a trainer who took care and clearly took interest in each individual. It’s not surprising that they are so highly recommended. All the RS staff from each department have been great to work with over the few years I’ve used them.

There is not enough Stars to justify how good Chris Pooley from RS Training is.
I decided about a year ago I wanted to get my LGV, as a 57 year old that has and still does work in the construction industry my body is starting to ache just a bit.
This is why I have done my LGV (give my knees a rest)
I got my Medical theory & hazard perception
All done and then needed to sort out the practical training and test. I saw a post on Facebook for a company in Exeter that had availability the was perfect time and date’s.
It was a four day course with the test on the 4th day.
Being in my 50s I had picked up some bad habits.
Now comes the bit about how professional and competent Chris is as an instructor. He straight away but me at ease. With his training I was able to iron out all of my bad habits so I was more than ready to take my Test.
I will tell all that read this, that this is the company (RS Training ) that you should use to achieve your goal of becoming a LGV driver.

Just completed my Counterbalance forklift training today with Chris and Lawrence. I must say they both really seem to enjoy their work, they were extremely helpful and friendly. I really can’t think of a bad word to say about either of them and would 100% recommend. Thanks very much to both!!
