Opinions

This company has 1219 reviews on Google My Business. With an average opinion rating of 4.7/5, it's clear that visitors to RSPB Pulborough Brooks have a positive experience.

The reserve is a lovely place for birding and nature walks, with many walking trails, clean toilets, and a cafe that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The cafe has limited food options, but visitors can bring their own picnic to enjoy on the picnic tables. The playground and kid-friendly hikes also make it a great spot for families.

Although there is enough parking space, it's worth noting that free parking is only available for RSPB members. Despite this, the reserve is well-maintained and offers a beautiful scenery that can be enjoyed with food from the cafe.

With its diverse wildlife, stunning landscapes, and numerous facilities, RSPB Pulborough Brooks is truly a must-visit destination for nature lovers and families alike.

Lovely place for birding and nature walks. You can spend a day here as there are many walking trails, toilets and cafe. There is also kids play area and few benches so you can bring your own picnic. Toilets are clean and well maintained. Cafe has limited food options and might get sold out for few items on a busy day. But indoor and outdoor seating area. You can enjoy beautiful scenery with food. Enough parking space but free only for RSPB members. We recently visited with our 1 year old and had a wonderful time. They don’t have any food option for young kids but we did carry our own snacks.

Visited here as part of a guided walk, together with other RSPB members from the Winchester club.
The cafe/reception/shop was well layed out, spacious & well stocked. Toilets clean and all of the helpers were so willing to advise & help.
We were blessed with great weather & this combined with our guides ability to spot &/or decode bird song made for a cracking 3hr walk.
Highly recommended

We have been here before and really enjoyed it and so we thought we would go back. We went on 3rd September. Car Park is 3£ - you can pay at the hut or by app. Then they charge 4£ per person to enter the reservoir. We started to walk round and noticed that a lot of the previous areas where we watched the birds on the bird feeders no longer had feeders because of rats. (there were signs up that there had been rats so the feeders had been taken away temporarily)… we carried on walking round and saw a few dragonflies but hardly anything else. No birds (not even a pigeon 🤣)… saw some cows in the distance in a field.
A nice walk but left feeling a bit “meh” at having spent 11£ and not even seen a duck! Probably won’t go back.

Well.managed and beautiful landscape. Lovely for just a walk, amazing for wildlife watching. Spend an hour, or spend the day. Less wetland visible in hooter months, but that does not distraction from the views and chances of spotting herons, osprey, eagle or goldfinch. Many other species available to a keen eye!
Thank you too all those who play custodian to this beautiful retreat.

Really enjoyed our visit here. Car park was almost full so struggled to park somewhere that wasn’t in a puddle, once on the reserve it never felt too busy. I hired binoculars for £7 as I forgot my own. Was impressed with the quality and the ease of doing this. Saw numerous different birds in hides, they were all clean and tidy. I’m not an experienced bird watcher so made use of the guides on the walls and in front of the windows to aid with identification. Just walking around the main loop was great with loads after bird noise and really nice people information plaques

RSPB Pulborough Brooks is a wonderful reserve that we visit regularly. It has a visitors centre and the cafe is excellent! They serve hot and cold food and the cakes are delicious and all reasonably priced.
The walk around the reserve is roughly 3.5 k and most parts are accessible to all. There are plenty of hides and viewing platforms that look out over the Brooks and nature trails for children to follow. An amazing range of birds to be seen all year round including the awesome White Tailed Eagles!
A brilliant place for serious birders, novices, families and for those just wanting a walk and a bit of cake. Can be muddy in some spots during the autumn/winter.
