Such a lovely hotel in Windsor. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here for a training seminar. Just a couple of points that I found odd. Firstly, some of the rooms are over the other side of the road and feel miles away from the main part of the hotel. Secondly, I was not very impressed with the mattress in my room as it was too hard for me but that's just a personal preference but it did mean that I didn't sleep as well as I would've liked. And finally, I found that the duvet was a zip & link meaning that for most of the night I had a zip in my face which I didn't particularly enjoy.
Loved the fact that you got robes and slippers in the room and plenty of fluffy towels.
On the whole, I really enjoyed my stay. Just a stones throw from Windsor Castle (which I was able to see from my hotel room - bonus!) and plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. It is also right next to the river! The breakfast was so good and is served buffet style so you can have as much as you'd like and the choices were great!

This is a quiet, elegant hotel, whose staff are professional and very polite. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them.
Our room was beautifully clean and very peaceful.
One thing I particularly liked was the focus on being sustainable. The room key hobs are wooden and there was a wooden sign that we could hang on the door, requesting that our room not be serviced. So sensible. There are no plastic bin liners, or wasteful mini plastic bottles of shampoo, etc.
The breakfasts are delicious, as was the lunch we had, sitting on the terrace.

We had a wonderful family stay at the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel. The location is fantastic β€” right on the river and just a short walk to Windsor Castle, shops, and restaurants. It was perfect for exploring the area with kids.

The family room was clean and comfortable, with enough space for all of us. The staff were welcoming and made us feel right at home, even helping with local recommendations and directions. Breakfast was a highlight , lots of variety and very family-friendly, with a lovely view of the Thames.

We also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, especially after a busy day out.

Overall, a great hotel for families looking to enjoy Windsor in a relaxed, scenic setting. We’d happily return!

We are reasonably frequent visitors to the hotel. On this occasion my wife and I were in Windsor to celebrate our 40 year anniversary with our family and the stay at the Sir Christopher Wren added to the great weekend we enjoyed overall. The Club room was nice - we had upgraded to a Grand room but the 2 available were not dissimilar to our original room so we stayed with what we had! All the staff, as always, we're very pleasant and attentive. We used the gym this time, the equipment and cleanliness was excellent.

The service was incredibly kind, both at the lobby and at the restaurant. The location i very convenient, close to the center and to restaurants/pubs for the evening, just along the river. I was in the annex and the room are modern and well furnished. Bathroom has a good size and a very good shower and bathrobe.
Pillows could be more comfortable, if an improvement point could be helpful.

We stayed here for one night and had a lovely view of Windsor castle. The room itself was spacious, clean and regal. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay - so many options and you could sit Thames side and watch all the swans swimming as you ate and listened to calming music they had on. Lovely atmosphere.

Perfect for single traveller. Easy walking access to Eton, and Windsor attractions. Be advised however, there is no lift/elevator in the older main house. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room: the kettle was nowhere near an electrical point and had to be put on the floor. The switch for the bathroom towel rail was high up near the ceiling. Breakfast: buffet style - excellent.

Murder mystery event with a meal in this lovely hotel on banks of the Thames. Nice cosy room, really great staff and service. The murder mystery was fun and the meal was very good. If I had a criticism it was the scrambled eggs at breakfast but this was the only issue. Great value and great location.
