A start to finish experience that will stay forever!
The professional approach from discussing with Alex what I would like to get out of the sport with my previous paragliding experience , this made the choice of training with SkySchool easy.
Booked on to a course and weather being good set off on a journey.
The introduction at the airfield training centre was good for all on the course with zero experience pilots to myself with previous paragliding experience ,we all trained together at our own pace but with a push to work hard and progress.
The different sites for training gave us a broad mixture of conditions to fly in and safe structured team to progress each trainee’s skills.
The calm voices of our instructors Ricardo , Bruce and Zeb each bringing their own unique skills to make the whole experience amazing.
The opportunity to train or fly abroad after basic training maybe an exciting thought for people to join the SkySchool community which I feel I’ve been able to be part of.
Looking forward to learning more and take the journey to far away places.
Thanks Guys for the opportunity to meet such a great team and nice students to train with.

We have just completed the first stage of training with sky school and subsequently carried out our first solo flights yesterday evening. Next up is the trip to Portugal for the next phase of training.

So far, we cannot praise the team enough, from the efficient use of communications throughout the whole experience, to the attention to detail during the delivery of the course.

It is obvious that safety is the number one priority at all times when training, Riccardo, Zebur and Bruce are exemplary instructors and extremely talented paramotor pilots. They go a long way to putting you at ease.
With the reassuring guidance of these guys, it’s not as daunting as you may think.

You only fly when you’re ready, you’ll know when the time is right for you.

Stick around to catch them fly in their downtime, you won’t be disappointed.

Ps. Always take off and land into wind!!!

Week 2

Just home from an epic week in Portugal conducting week 2 of the SkySchool training. The weather wasn’t on our side for the whole week, so only managed a couple of days worth of flying, but my development flying the Paramotor is coming along nicely and I can’t wait for more.

To emphasise the points made during my review of week 1 above:

Riccardo and Zebur are amazing, and make you feel safe at all times. They really care about you developing as a pilot, but more importantly, they really care about safety. If you listen to what they tell you, you’ll be flying in no time at all.

Another member of the team worth noting is Ted. Having not flown since July at Hinton, I was a little nervous once getting into the air, but Ted took over comms between taking off and landing, and was calm and reassuring for the whole flight.

I’ve not met Alex yet, the owner of the company, but every time we have spoken / communicated, he has been professional and accurate in his description of what to expect.

I can’t recommend this company enough if you’re serious about getting into paramotoring.

Thanks all, see you soon.

I started training with SkySchool back in 2022 in the UK, Qualifying on a Spain trip in 2023, and have just come back from Sky-Week Brazil in 2024.

All the training and trips have been great and the SkySchool team are happy to support with any questions I have on flying or equipment, they are always there for advice when needed.

I would recommend them for training and also joining some of their trips overseas.

The Brazil trip we have just come back from was amazing, a great balance of flying and socializing!

Thank you to all the SkyShool team for your support!!!

I started Learning paramotor with my Dad through sky school, I didn't know what to expect and definitely never thought I would be able to fly by myself. The instructors provided the best introduction to flying a paramotor, ensuring the training was both safe and professional. I felt confident and prepared at each step, thanks to the support and encouragement they gave me.

And recently had the opportunity to come back and do it again in Spain. It was an amazing learning experience, met new people, made friends and would do it again in a heartbeat. It's definitely an experience you won't forget.

I've now spent 2 weeks with SkySchool UK. The first week in the UK (Hinton) and the second week in Portugal. I will admit to some frustration when I didn't get to fly (other than a winch launch) in the first week (bad weather), or subsequently in the UK. However, I decided that having made the initial investment I wanted to follow through and get in the air, so I signed up for Portugal. SkySchool were very fair, giving me credit days for the bad weather days in Hinton. The improved weather in Portugal meant I was able to complete the course and qualify, and I have to say that's a great feeling!
My thoughts for prospective students:
Safety is the number 1 priority. You will not fly if the wind is too strong or too weak, or if the instructors do not think you are ready. It's noticeable that the instructors are just as frustrated as the students on bad weather days.
There are a mix of junior and senior instructors. All of the instructors are friendly and approachable. If you're not sure about something - ask. They will take the time to explain things to you. As an old git (59) I had thought that I might be sidelined or patronised by the younger instructors. Not at all. They were completely professional at all times, very patient and helpful.
You will find your fellow students are like minded individuals. You will share information, support and encourage each other.
I've waited 2 weeks before writing this review to give myself time to come down, but the truth is I'm still absolutely buzzing. In my opinion paramotoring is the purest form of powered flight. I've gone as far as flying circuits on the PPL, but never found flying light aircraft relaxing. The sense of freedom, the unrestricted view, the rawness of the basic flying controls and the fact that you're up on your own (apart from the comforting voice of your instructor on the radio) give an unparalleled flying experience.

I had an incredible experience I had with SkySchool the other week. The weather wasn't ideal but the team made it so much fun and the instructors were fantastic. Each member had their strong points but the combination of humour, safety and knowledge of the sport really helped my personal progression. The team really worked hard to take the snippets of good weather to fly or complete ground handling skills whilst going over the theory when the weather was bad. Overall the course was extremely comprehensive, professional and I felt that I was in safe hands every step of the way. See you next summer, for the next step!

The SkyWeek Dolomites and Brussa Spiaggia trip left me speechless! I feel incredibly fortunate and humbled to have experienced such a breathtaking once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

Flying the Dolomites is demanding. With altitudes reaching 950 meters, it requires a level of skill that surpasses typical takeoffs, especially compared to flying in the UK. Yet, once airborne, the panoramic views are simply awe-inspiring. The sheer magnificence of the mountains is something that words cannot fully capture; it's an experience that must be lived to be truly appreciated.

The team, led by Alex and Ricardo, were exceptional. Both seasoned pilots, they not only guided us through the mesmerising Dolomites but also generously shared their invaluable knowledge and time. As a pilot with two and a half years under his belt, I gained profound insights into my strengths and weaknesses, receiving invaluable guidance on how to enhance my skills—a priceless gift indeed.

This journey undoubtedly stands out as one of the highlights of my life—a memory I will forever hold dear.

To the entire skyschool team: Thank you for everything. From the moment I enrolled to the bittersweet farewell at the airport, every aspect of the experience was nothing short of amazing.
