Really interesting little turret type structure. Nice that you can walk up to the top and some wonderful views of the surrounding area, photos were taken on a very misty day so visability wasn’t good.
Walks up to and around the structure are wonderful, dogs had the time of their lives. Just mind your step as there is cow pat everywhere!!

We visited Solomon's Tower in September.
Great walk and fantastic views once you reach the top. The yellow woodland trail is best if you have dogs and want to let them off the lead, just be aware that there may be cows at the top!
We let our two crazy spaniels off the lead and it was great, however they were absolutely covered in grass seeds at the end, so that took some brushing later on!?
But they loved it and we loved it so I would definitely recommend it!

A gorgeous short uphill woodland walk followed by a continued ascent over open hills which takes you to the curious tower known as Solomon's Temple. It's nice that it's open and it can be climbed up via a short spiral staircase.

Expect some lovely views on a clear day, but even on a dull and foggy day like my most recent visit, it's still a lovely way to spend an hour or so.

Combine your walk with a trip to Pooles Cavern, a fab show cave, and right next to the carpark for both Solomon's Temple and Poole's Cavern is a lovely little cafe. Go Ape Buxton is also located here. There was plentiful parking on a rainy Sunday in November, but I expect it would be a different story on a fine day!

The walking routes are easy to follow, but the initial ascent includes lots of steps and then it's a mild uphill all the way.

Not a good choice for those with mobility issues, prams or wheelchairs.

Not actually signposted. Follow signs for 'Grin Low'.

Great views. Able to get there with a toddler and pushchair. Only a few minutes from the car park (£2 honesty pot!).

Well worth a wander.

Seen this many many times over the years but never walked up there until last week. Easy parking, steady little walk up to the "Temple"
Fantastic views.
Could be dodgy if the cows are wandering around.

Great walk to Solomon's. We parked at Grin Low car park. It's £2 to park with an honesty box, plus free toilets. Lovely short walk, about half a mile to the temple. Temple was great to walk up. Lots of woodland around to explore there.

Well worth the hike up the hill to get a great view of Buxton and the surrounding Peak District. Not a lot to the actual Temple, but at least you can get inside and climb to the top
