My nan went to this care home after coming from hospital to wait for a package of care to be put in place to go home. While she was there she was treated with no respect or dignity she was givin medication by staff who wasn't trained she the food wasn't covered and she caught diarrhea. Upon her time to leave the home she deteriorated very quickly when my mum went to pick her up she noticed something wasn't right they told my mum she is fine my mum said she needs a ambulance they said no she doesn't need one and said she was like this when she came from hospital witch isn't true because I went to see her in the home the following day and she was fine . When a nurse finally came to see my nan she said to the staff call a ambulance. She has been taken to hospital and we received the news that she is now end of life. They even left her pad down and they was told to pull it up by the ambulance crew . When I went to collect my nans belongings there were residents naked and the cares didn't seem to be bothered about it whatsoever. The place is dirty and needs closing down.

My 96 year old mother was entered into the Southernwood House Residential house Spalding in early April and I can only give huge praise for all the care and help given to her in the first three months she has been there. The staff have patience of Saints being so diligent and caring for Mums well being. The Supervisor Manager Jacy as been a great help to us during this period. Thank you very much and God Bless you all.

We arrived with my father in law last Tuesday 20th , met by a lovely lady and another, the room was basic and they were helpful, but the light switch in the toilet did not work and we were going to move him, but to an upstairs room and we all decided to leave him in the down stairs room and the lady said that they would sort it out, but the maintenance people wouldn't come out till the next day as they got annoyed.
Thursday 22nd our father was transferred to another care home due to his dementia and we have had more problems with communications and loss of items. We are not happy and very annoyed with the conduct of some of the staff during phone calls at the weekend.

My dad was moved here a few months back, he has settled in very well. It’s a wonderful place, the staff and residents are lovely, it’s a really home from home place. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Basic but presentable not much parking, staff leave a bit to be desired in humor and manners which I feel let's them down. Likes of myself when you walk into such an establishment you can get a feeling saying yes I like this place or oh dear I'm not to impressed with this place....but unfortunately I'm with oh dear.... It's a care home I would not put my mother in if she was still alive... 4/10
