Overall this school is satisfactory. I’ve had my worst moments here with teachers such as Mr Lynch, Ms Holt and Mr James but I have had memorable moments with my favourite teacher Ms Arnold and my mandarin class. I can honestly say that Ms Holt had definitely ruined my ability to have an optimum, pleasurable and fun secondary school experience. Ms Holt is one of *those* PE teachers who favours the sporty students and she clearly shows it. An example of this is when she forced a student with asthma (A LITERAL MEDICAL CONDITION THAT PEOPLE CAN DIE FROM) to partake in cross country. A student with asthma had passed out during cross country, this students’ face flushed red and they were struggling to breathe. Ms holt saw the student in that state and undermined their situation commenting along the lines of “she’s fine” “she’ll be fine”. On the other hand, one of the students that she favoured had a cheer leading competition and was not forced to partake in a PE lesson. Ms Holt thinks a cheer leading competition is more important than a medical condition….. This is only a brief example to outline the type of teacher she is. As well as this, I have my opinion of Ms Holt because she personally made inaccurate comments about my character and had double standards for me and other students. She claimed that I was manipulative, sneaky and cause large amounts of students to misbehave. When I had asked her to specifically name the students that I make misbehave, she was unable to do so (not to my surprise). She was clearly unable to name these student that I cause to misbehave because they do not exist and she didn’t want to drag other student into the obvious lie that she fabricated. She is the ONLY teacher EVER to have such distasteful opinions about me. I was and still am confused as to why she treated me so poorly. I don’t know why she had a genuine dislike for a literal 16 year old.
I would also like to add that Mr Lynch defended a white teacher who said the n word solely because of the fact that she was repeating what a student said. The name of this teacher is Ms Doyle. He also scolded the students (young black boys to be specific) who were rightfully calling out Ms Doyle. Mr Lynch is a black man himself, so his behaviour was shameful and was criticised amongst many students within the year. However, Ms Doyle received no punishment and Mr Lynch has now moved to The Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls.

I left Steds 2014 times, school was ok, you had to be tough in secondary school otherwise people would take advantage and tease you, my year was abit toxic to be honest. Sometimes I wonder how my school life would have been if I went to a school in a different part of London
