Always been of the view that places performing several roles are likely to be masters of none. Wrong! This club has always put on good functions, even though in our case they've tended to be wakes.
However, as the the Ale House was closed we gave it a go having noticed CAMRA mention it a bit. It was a really good warm atmosphere, the (Scottish?) lady behind the bar was really pleasant and there were 3 real ales on:- they were all top notch, the Hawkshead Mosaic was especially good. Obviously, we didn't qualify for member rates but at £3.80 a pint there were no complaints, not least because of the quality. Clearly a really well run club. Just a shame we've lived in Lostock Hall 40 years and only just twigged!

A friendly & welcoming place.
Tastefully decorated and a good caterer is based there. The centre can be hired out for parties and gatherings. We've had several there and they've been great occasions.
Bingo on a Wednesday is well attended by the locals. Tuesday there's a quiz night. Many socials are planned with visiting artists.
Overall a very nice place to go! 👍😊

Very nice place great staff good price for drinks we went to watch a tribute act which was very good but did notice certain people came through with no tickets so watched the act for free they need better security to make sure it doesn't happen as more people will do the same apart from that it was a great night

Lovely venue, recently attended for a progress housing community champion event. The staff were friendly and the venue is spacious with a small stage at the front and a kitchen serving hatch at the side. Toilets were clean and tidy. Suitable for hosting any social events. The one draw back is the car park. It's quite small and there were no spaces therefore had to park on the boxing club car park next to the venue which wasn't a problem.

We visited this extremely weird and wonderfully named real ale club
The club was full of locals tonight. The bar staff well up on the real ales, and there were 3 really well pulled real ales on offer
Locals following out going friendly and with an interesting sense of humour
Well, it's worth a visit when in Lostock Hall

We had the most incredible wedding reception at St. Gerards last year.
A beautiful social club with a large function room, great dance floor, large stage, and really cheap bar with a fab selection of beer, cider and loads of spirits and shots! Our guests (a lot of them Scottish!) were beyond happy with the prices ! Our wedding (on the hottest day of August 2022) was perfect, the staff couldn't do enough for us, and we had full use of the function room, lounge, snug and if wanted, the snooker room ! Apart from this incredible gem of a venue, there is an-house caterers if needed and I can honestly say, you would be missing out if you didn't.

Julie (QUALITY FOOD FAYRE) and her amazing team went above and beyond to make our day magical. The function room was beautifuly laid out and decorated to way Julie and I had discussed and she had added lots of little touches. Every single person was raving about their meal.... 2 words, ROAST BEEF! Wow ! How she and her team managed to serve nearly 80 hungry guests so seamlessly is beyond me! (I also just need to add here that you just have to taste Julie's hotpot and cheese pie to know what an incredible caterers she is)!

Honestly, my guests from Scotland (about 40 of them) want to come back for more, and they have !

Nice Catholic club, good vibe sports available on large TV and games room for snooker and darts. Facilities clean and tidy , good ambiance and usually some form of entertainment either live music or karaoke. Cheap prices at the bar and others drinking and socialising are very welcoming to outsiders, bar attendees are very chatty and polite all in all great place to have a pint ...
