I had high expectations when I enrolled at Stanmore College but my experience was far from what I anticipated. First and foremost, the administration was unorganised and often unresponsive to student concerns. Communication was poor, and important updates about classes or events were rarely communicated in a timely manner.

The quality of teaching varied greatly between professors, with some offering engaging, insightful classes, while others were disinterested and difficult to learn from. The curriculum also felt outdated, and I didn’t feel adequately prepared for the workforce after graduation.

Additionally, the campus facilities were lacking. The libraries and study areas were overcrowded and underfunded, and the dorms were uncomfortable and in need of maintenance.

Overall, my time at Stanmore College was disappointing. While it may work for some students, I would not recommend it based on my experience.

Good afternoon, I hope you are well.

I took my brother for an enrolment this year to Stanmore college. This by far has been mine and my brothers worst experience with an education place.

There was a rainbow haired teacher that seemed to have a personal issue with my brother as she didn’t even know him. She told him that she has many students like him this year and doesn’t want him to join. The other teacher didn’t even allow my brother to explain himself as he kept getting interrupted and at the end he walked out on us leaving us confused as soon as the rainbow haired teacher signalled him to.

Overall, in my personal experience colleges in the past have been understanding and welcoming however Stanmore college has been by far the worst as they show nothing but neglect and hate towards students.

My brother feels small as a result of this neglect and his confidence has come down.

I would like the teachers responsible for my brother feeling anxious to be held accountable as this is so not fair on him as he has mental health issues.

The teachers who neglected my brother were a business and IT teacher.

Stanmore College you do not have a principal to deter rude teachers. What is this way of dealing with students? Why do you make students hate studying? Shame on you for dealing with students who do not have English to respond to you and your offensive words. Who told you to deal with students in this way? If you want to preserve your child’s psyche, do not go to this college.

Discriminatory policies at Stanmore College: On the 2nd of October 2024, my wife visited Stanmore College to enrol in a part-time English course aimed at improving her language skills. She was met with an unexpected and deeply disappointing experience. Upon arriving at the college, she was turned away by a security guard, solely because she was wearing a niqab.

When my wife called me to explain the situation, I spoke to the security guard directly. He informed me that the college does not allow the niqab on its premises, which I found absolutely shocking. While I would have understood if my wife had been asked to momentarily remove her veil for identification purposes, as part of a security check, the guard insisted that the college enforces a complete ban on the niqab.

What makes this situation even more appalling is the irony of it happening in a country that prides itself on upholding the values of freedom of expression and individual rights. A college situated within the United Kingdom, a nation that frequently positions itself as a champion of civil liberties, appears hypocritical in this instance. It often lectures other nations about their rules on clothing and personal freedoms, yet allows institutions within its borders to impose such discriminatory policies. This is a blatant contradiction in their principles. It speaks to the inconsistency in the way freedom of expression is applied when it comes to minority communities.

I never expected that Stanmore College would adopt such an exclusionary stance. This incident reflects poorly not only on the college but also on the broader environment that allows such policies to exist in the first place.
This experience has left my wife feeling unwelcome and, without a doubt, deeply discouraged from pursuing her education at Stanmore College. I strongly advise anyone considering this institution to be aware of its discriminatory practices.

Well, this is a really, really great and amazing college! All the staff here are friendly and ready to help you ! I can`t say that all the teachers are prepared and ready to deal with bright minds, which I think is the biggest problem at this college. But you know, not all schools are perfect, right? as perfection does not really exist! Most of them are trying to help you achieve the grades you want if you help them to help you! If you are a clever child and who knows how to learn on his/her own, this college might not be a bad choice! I choose to give 5/5 stars as I felt safe the whole year I was here and, of course, this college helped me personally to achieve some grades, the top grade that I did not think I was able to achieve. I recommend Stanmore college, especially the Gcse course, and I really hope to see that this college will be one of the best in the whole of London.People need to really give more attention to this school. I really hope to see a lot of smart people that will help this college be the first and maybe in the future the school will think about reintroducing the A-level course again! I recommend Stanmore college to anyone who reads this looking to hear great things about Stanmore!
