I’d been considering contacting Strengthology for some time. Finally one day I just decided to do it. Di contacted me straight away, put me at ease and gave me great advice. I’m not new to exercise or knowing how to eat “well” but it’s been a tough few years, and life got in the way of me, looking after me. Di has been fundamental in helping support and advise me through the last 12 weeks. I’ve achieved more than I could have hoped for and now even more motivated to get stronger and maintain my new (old) self. This approach is realistic, fits in with you and is sustainable. My last week in the 12 weeks transformation has been over the Christmas week. It’s been tricky to navigate, just a couple of New Years Parties to go! However, with Di’s support I have still enjoyed days of eating and drinking and know that I will be back to my new normal in the New Year. Exercise and eating all need to be realistic and achievable, within your own lifestyle and needs. This 12 weeks has enabled me to see I can literally have my cake and eat it!
Follow the advice, check in regularly and you will see long lasting, life changing results. A stronger, fitter and healthier you. Thanks Di. Look forward to continuing to work with you in 2025!

I really enjoyed my 12 week Transformation course with Di at Strengthology. Not only did Di support and guide me throughout each week, she championed my progress and quest for a leaner and stronger body in perimenopause.

Di is a great person to train with (I followed her online programme) - she’s open, honest and very positive, championing all wins whilst acknowledging what could have gone better.

After months of piling perimenopausal weight on, I’ve since dropped a dress size and lost half a stone but more importantly, I have learnt what I need to do to continue progress and feel good in my skin.

I know January is all about New Years Resolutions but I wanted to share something I decided to take on last September
Now in my mid 40’s and no longer a professional athlete the balance between life and exercise has changed enormously for me.
No longer is my bike riding / training the priority in my life, as other responsibilities have taken importance.

However I still have a drive to stay fit and in shape but also have an equal love for food !!
As I get to my later years and see so many of our population becoming more overweight and illness being so common I am determined to try and do my best to help my body out by trying to keep the weight off and stay in shape.

As a woman in my mid 40’s I also have the upcoming hormonal changes and had done some reading and research into the ageing female body.

One thing that I remember vividly - sadly I can’t remember from what book it was but “if you want to be able to lift yourself out of your chair in your 80’s/90’s you need to be really strong in your 40/50’s to beat the natural decline in strength as we age. “

All these factors made me join up for a @strengthology_uk 12 week Online transformation last September

Over the 12 weeks I lost 5kg and learnt so much about food and just how many extra snacks and calories I just didn’t need in my life !!

It’s the most consistent gym work I have ever done and found muscles in my arms I didn’t know I had !

As the new years starts I am keen to continue the good work I have started but also add in some more bike riding.

I’ve loved this new take on fitness for me, the social of local classes and great support of Di online for my home workouts.

If you are over 40 and want to change your body with strength training I couldn’t recommend it enough 😊

I started training online with Di in April this year and am delighted with the results. My original goal was to lose 10 pounds, which I have achieved, and I am now aiming to lose a little more weight, and be a stone lighter than when I started. I am stronger and fitter than before and feel really healthy. In September, my husband and I walked 80 miles of the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain, in 7 days. The training that I have done with Di definitely prepared me well for that. Di is firm but always encouraging in her feedback, and treats me like a grown-up, which I appreciate! I had to choose the online option because I don't live close enough to attend the classes and this has worked really well for me. I heartily recommend Strengthology.

If you want the ‘old’ you back then Di is the person to guide you through your journey. Losing weight and getting stronger and fitter happen with a bit of effect on your part and lots of encouragement from Di. She understands that we have ‘stuff’ that gets in the way from time to time, but with her help you are quickly back on track. There is no food deprivation and exercise is graduated and fun.
If you are thinking about it - give it a go! I did and shed 2 stone, feel stronger and healthier (mentally and physically) than I have for decades to say nothing of being more confident and getting a whole new wardrobe. 🎉
