The service and people were just fine. The food was poor. This might have been the worst scrambled eggs I have ever had. Clearly microwaved, pale, unseasoned and in a puddle of water in a bowl. The bread was fine. Scrambled eggs should be cooked slowly over a low heat, and seasoned near the end: not bunged in a microwave and unseasoned. Won't be returning.

Being one of the couple of coffee shops in the area we thought it’d be a great choice to go and enjoy lunch after a long walk.

Unfortunately it was a disappointing to mention few issues.

Highlight of the visit: the customer service by the counter service is very poor. Not sure if the employees prefer their own colour customer. Based on how they treated the customers before me and how they treated me as a customer was drastically different. The counter service couldn’t even tell me about the cake choices they offer. It was more like “computer says NO” kind of answers. Almost like they didn’t want to be there.

Table service was ok with the fact that they can help a customer with the questions.

Food: the food fairly ok and fresh to a point. But bland and basic to say the least.

Even though the cafe with all above issues they still charge like for like prices to Sandringham Restaurant.

It’s funny how they are capitalising from the opportunity.

Would I visit again even if it’s the only restaurant in the town? NO.

You need to change the staff with the ones with good attitude for all types of customers. Businesses need to adapt to survive. Don’t copy, be original. Hope an owner or the accountable manager read this.

Visited over the Christmas period.
Had a lovely cream tea.
Big range of cakes on display, the only thing is you are not sure what they are until you ask the server.

Sorry it’s gone downhill, the fish and chips I had looked and tasted like they were from a packet and my husband lasagna was served cold/ warm. He went to ask them to warm it up and it came back hot from the microwave. The plate was still dirty when they scraped it off and back on in a mush state. The cakes looked good. I shall never have got food again from there again. Not proper cooking.

Great little find and nothing like the old pix. Food is served till 2 so don't be too late. Not a quiet corner kinda place but enjoyed lunch with a friend and then checked out the garden centre - which was also another delightful discovery.

Just got back from a nice breakfast with the best mate, we ordered a full English breakfast and got a free tea or coffee, which was a nice touch. My mate was also allowed to change it for a bottle of water.

The food was really nice. I especially enjoyed the sausages 😋. We were also given options regarding toast white or brown and what sides we wanted, like tomatoes or beans, etc. I felt it was really nice to be asked what we would prefer.

I had coffee, which was also very nice, it was a nice chilled vibe and the staff were efficient, helpful, kind and polite.

I called in for a coffee and one of their delicious scones. This really is a lovely coffee shop. However, Hygiene is now an issue regarding food served to the table. Both waitresses were taking plated food placed directly on other plates. !!!!!!! I have never ever seen this. This should not allowed. Bottom of plates would of touched work surfaces . It is a shame as the food is outstanding. The cakes are homemade and look like they are award winning.

Stopped here quite late in the day on the off chance I'd get a drink and snack as I'd had a long drive. Still serving - yes!!!
The young lady who served me was a delight, so friendly and helpful. The cakes looked so good I just couldn't choose so ended up buying three extra to take home to try....as you do!! Soya milk available so a hot chocolate and cake upped my sugar levels to continue my journey. A very clean and tidy place. It will be a stopping place on a future journey and would certainly try it for a lunch with friends.
Lovely garden with tables.
Garden Centre next door....but no time to visit there.
