We attended the choices and consequences workshop last week with 5 of my mentees that are on are on mentoring programme. The workshop was engaging, powerful and informative. It allowed the young people to participate in discussions and learn about the impact that knife crime has on the victim, the perpetrator and the wider community. Damien was a fantastic host, warm and respectful and brought the best out of the young people. This workshop was free, after accessing funding to cover the session. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all involved, our students learnt so much and made a pledge to never carry a knife as a weapon after visiting the exhibition.

Full disclosure: I am a grown up, rather than a school pupil!
I found this exhibition utterly mind-blowing. The way in which it is devised to include experiential learning meant that it was incredibly powerful. The message stayed with me over the following days, and I have been reflecting on all that I saw/felt. As an exhibition, its impressive. But as a means by which it challenges us to think of the systems that encourage knife crime - poverty, racism, inequality - it was deeply moving. Huge well done Ben Kinsella Trust. And my thanks to the family for being so open and vulnerable in order that young people can really think about the impact of carrying a knife.

I attended a workshop here with my class and it was informative, well organised and interactive. The children learnt a lot and were given a safe space to ask questions and learn about the dangers of knife crime. The facilitators, Phoebe and Alex, were also very well informed. I am pleased there is now funding for this as it is an important lesson for the children. Thank you.

The workshop and facilitators were fantastic. It was engaging, relatable and educational. Young people enjoyed the interaction and hearing about Ben's life. The video and visit to the 'prison cell' was extremely thought provoking for them too. Thank you!

We have been bringing our Y6s to the exhibition at Finsbury Library for 5 years now. It is achingly sad but massively thought provoking and important for our kids to know, process and discuss - thank you for all your efforts.
