My daughter has been going to The Drama Centre at Chelmsford High School for Girls on Fridays for a year now. It is actually a LAMDA class to help make her more confident in public speaking but she really enjoys all the improvisation and drama games. Leanne really cares about the kids and wants to bring out the best in them and I think it has helped my daughter a lot. Also both my daughter and son have attended the Drama workshops at the Old Court Theatre with the same company and always had lots of fun.

The Chelmsford drama centre is truly a wonderful space for children to explore the world of acting. My daughter attended for several years & really came into her own in their company. They have inspired what will be a lifelong love of the craft, taught her confidence outside of acting & even supported her in times of upset. I cannot rate them highly enough, they are just fantastic people who know their stuff & bring the best out of the pupils.

I will also add my daughter is a type1 diabetic with BPD & I always had thee utmost confidence that she was safe in their care.

Sending your children here could be one of the best things you do ❤️

I’m a past student of the drama centre and have to say it was an amazing experience and really helped my confidence in acting. The classes gave me courage to audition for roles in the theatre workshop, which were recommended by Leanne/James. You’re surrounded by support and fun in the classes and Leanne is so kind and attentive. Whether you have a lot of confidence or very little, it’s the perfect place to grow your acting skill and in general just a great experience I’ll never forget.

I attended the Chelmsford Drama centre for around four years taking both drama and LAMDA classes. I just recently completed my grade 8 acting exam and the level of teaching and support has been incredible all the way through. Leanne and James and all the other teachers create such a welcoming environment and I've had so much fun as well gaining skills and qualifications that will serve me for life. Could not recommend more, going to miss everyone so much! 🙂

I attended the Drama class for 3 years and LAMDA for 2 and I am so happy I joined, Leanne and James have created such a lovely, friendly and supportive environment where every student feels valued for their talents. I was able to develop my acting skills a great deal through a variety of activities such as improvisation, theatre in the round and devised theatre. I would definitely recommend!
