First visit today.
A fabulous old CoOp building now with a cafe upstairs. We had a window seat upstairs, seating a little cramped and squeezed, but comfortable enough.
Not sure on disabled access to the upstairs cafe though, you’d have to check.
Not a massive menu, but enough to satisfy.
I had their meaty breakfast, it was tasty, but I wouldn’t exactly say it was meaty! There were 2 bacon rashers , and two small sausages, that was total meat content.
My wife had jam on toast on what they described as artisan bread. We shared a pot of tea.
The service was pleasant after ordering at the counter, food swiftly arrived. Prices are very reasonable too. A go to place in Tod.

Fabulous. Very kind ambience. Friendly staff and lush food. Varied menu catering for all needs. Lots of table games to keep the wee ones entertained.

WOW an absolute MUST eatery if you ever find yourself in Todmorden.
Due to an inconvenient road closure, we had to turn back at Todmorden on a recent road trip. As it was lunchtime, we called into the local Tourist Information and asked for recommendations for lunch. A number of suggestions were made, but we liked the ethos of the Kindness Cafe so chose there.
We were NOT disappointed. The food was excellent, large portion, freshly prepared and delicious. Well done to everyone involved, please keep up the good work.
I doubt we'll ever return as it was on a road trip, but if we did, we'd definitely plan it around visiting your amazing place. xxx

Haven’t been for some time and was pleasantly surprised on this visit. Sat upstairs in window with good views. Tables a little too close which made getting in and out slightly difficult.
The food was good and reasonably priced. The service really made the place and was first class.

A fabulous cafe with amazing food. The bacon sandwich with salad is fantastic and the milkshakes are perfect. My friend said that it was there first time she'd had a properly heated coffee in ages. Prices are great. I became more fond of Todmorden after eating here ?⭐

Disappointed after a visit here today. We waiting over 45 minutes for food, I totally understand a long wait on a Saturday but it would be nice to be informed of it in advance of ordering so that we could have decided to try elsewhere. Overheard kitchen staff slagging off other customers who had complained about the wait. The open kitchen looked chaotic, again understand kitchens get busy on the weekend but the choice to have an open kitchen comes with the responsibility of keeping it under control at all times as customers can see it.
Really enjoyed the drinks and would like to give it another go
