Both of my daughters attend The Learning Journey Tuition Centre for GCSE Science tuition. Despite being different characters with different learning styles, both excelled under the tuition of Mr Murphy, who adapted his teaching style and pace to suit each child.

The classes were all well planned, covering in detail the topics most likely to come up in the GCSE exams and it was extremely helpful to have access to the Powerpoint slides, which are sent vey shortly after the session to reinforce the learning.

Mr Murphy is always generous with his time and sharing of knowledge and there was always the offer to stay after the class if they had any particular questions which were not covered in class, and they wanted him to go through.

Clare & Emily as organisers of The Learning Journey Tuition Centre are extremely friendly and approachable and try to be as flexible as possible.

With the support of The Learning Journey Tuition Centre, I strongly believe both girls reached their full potential and their superb results reflected this.

Just wanted to put on record our thanks for all the help and support you gave our daughter Olivia in her Combined Science GCSE. Her class had gone through numerous chemistry teachers at school and there were definite gaps in her knowledge. Mr Murphy was approachable and made learning fun. She never once complained about having to attend on Saturday mornings and this morning when we collected her results, she was thrilled to learn that she was awarded a 9-9 for combined science. So my son returned to the learning journey after sending him for English classes for a while whilst in year five or six
He showed massive improvement back then in a relatively short period so when it came to him getting closer to taking his important GCSE exams I thought that if he’d made such improvements back then for his sats that with some new guidance that this could work again to give him some focused structure on studying maths and science in the lead up to his actual summer GCSEs
Well with the learning journey he improved massively from his mocks gaining a 9 in science and a 7 in maths !! Thank you for everything.

My son attended lessons at The Learning Journey Tuition Centre. He enjoyed the lessons and found them extremely helpful. The tutor was very approachable and made the lessons fun and interesting. The tutor made himself available early at every lesson should the students have any questions regarding the previous lessons topic. The power points e mailed out after every lesson were also a very useful learning tool. I found Clare and Emily's approach to be very professional, caring and helpful. They were happy to answer any queries and went out of their way to help. These lessons definitely gave my son more confidence in the subject. Awesome teachers! Clare and Emily are highly dedicated in helping their students. The class sizes are smaller so the students have the attention they need and both Clare and Emily are very patient and understanding. The work set is of a high standard and the methods of teaching makes concepts a lot easier to understand. They provide the students with a lot of encouragement and a positive mindset which helps them to become more confident in their learning ability. I would definitely recommend!

My daughter has been coming here for a couple of years and she has really grown in confidence in a subject that she really struggles with. The classes are small and focused. Both Clare and Emily are professional and friendly and they make learning fun and interactive which always helps. I really recommend these classes if your child needs that extra something to help them with the curriculum.
