Just passed my Skills test recently up in Blackpool and wanted to see another part of the world from the air whilst visiting family. Keith was a great instructor, we had a flight up to Turweston which was really enjoyable. Would happily recommend The pilot centre to a friend ✈️

After trying out a couple of schools, I chose to undertake my PPL here. The quality of instruction offered and pure passion for flying are exceptional. This is one of the most supportive and focused educational environments I have experienced. The instructors were very encouraging and driven to ensure I was able to complete the licence. In terms of cost, obviously an important consideration for anyone undertaking a PPL, the prices were entirely reasonable and everything was transparent, straightforward and fair. This is a very high integrity flight school and I would unhesitatingly recommend anyone to learn here.

One of the best places to fly as a PPL in the vicinity of London. Well maintained fleet with modern instruments and good availability. Well run with knowledgeable and friendly instructors. 30-40 mins on public transport from central London.

I did my PPL here and I have hugely mixed feelings about my experience.

The good: People, beautiful location, aircraft quality / availability

The bad: Expensive, fairly low quality facilities, local amenities

The ugly: The quality of teaching is very poor and unpredictable. I actually had to report them to the CAA for the level of teaching I received. Instructors are there to hour build and leave. The more permanent people have a huge superiority complex and are very poor teachers with bad attitudes and behaviours.

In summary: I would honestly be very careful about choosing here. I found my experience at places like Redhill (Cubair) far more positive (acknowledging the huge geographical distance between these places!). If I had my time again, I would not have chosen The Pilot Centre, it’s a poor name choice really, I should be called The Ego Centre.

By far the best flight school in London!

The staff are great, Friendly people! The aircraft are in top shape and well looked after which unfortunately cant be taken for granted. From start to finish, it is a professional experience with top level people. Highly recommended!

Aircraft are extremely well looked after and it's always a great experience flying with TPC!

Would 100% recommend to anyone learning to fly or even just to have the experience of being in a light aircraft with the great ranges of trial lessons they offer.
