I considered the profs for help with admissions a few months back. They were very helpful in getting me setup with a tutor that matched my course, However, they have a rule in-place where you need to commit to a minimum number of hours which meant I’d be getting charged almost £1000 for what essentially is an application that consists of just a personal statement (almost £1 for every word written). Without this rule (or even if it was slightly more relaxed), I likely would have gone ahead with the service.

I opted to do it myself in the end and managed to get offers from all the universities and courses I had applied to. The profs had a great service offering, and were helpful in onboarding but if you’re going for their admissions support, really consider if it’s something you wouldn’t be able to accomplish on your own as the price is quite steep.

1- hidden fees.
£70 to match me with tutors? Extortionate admin fee if I’m honest.

2- pushy, aggressive sales tactics.
Under 24 hours from my first call from the sales team, I get a call saying “you need to get signed up before the end of the day otherwise you’ll lose the reserved tutors”
No I won’t, you’re just being pushy to get my money.

I’ll go elsewhere, thanks.

THANK The Profs for an excellent experience. Carali is an excellent tutor and mentor. She is also a kind and nice person who will go the extra mile to help if required. Carali is very experienced at guiding young graduates who wish to pursue a MA to get to know their own arts and preferences etc. We will have no hesitation to recommend Carali to anyone who wishes to pursue a Master or PhD study.

The Profs offer a fantastic service!! They are incredibly responsive and set me up with a tutor within a matter of a few days. My tutor, Keely, was a fantastic fit for my learning needs. She was excellent at explaining difficult concepts and guiding me through the data analysis of my quantitative Clinical Doctorate dissertation. Thanks to Keely and The Profs achieving my Doctorate degree was made just that bit easier!!

Bunch of hidden fees. £20 to speak on phone with a 'consultant'. £70 to match with a tutor. Minimum 5 hours tuition. Some tutors charging £100+ per hour, so you're looking at an investment of at least £600 (depending on subject/level). I wouldn't have picked this agency had I known about the barrage of hidden fees.

It's a free market and you have a choice to make, so if you have the income and need extensive, 1-1 tuition this is an option. But try teaching yourself as I did. As a result, I no longer need tuition and did not need to drain my wallet in the process, happy days.

It is hard to articulate just how great of an impact my tutors have had on both my ability to understand and work with difficult material and my confidence in preparing for exams. The Profs provide very organized, dependable instruction from those who have extensive experience in the subjects they teach. I recommend The Profs, without reserve, to any students seeking extra help, exam prep advice, or just another educational resource in general. You will certainly receive your money's worth and not be disappointed.

Highly recommend The Profs for tuition! Michael Scott was brilliant with me. Not only was he able to help me with my understanding of the content but also with the exam techniques that are incredibly effective at picking up marks in the exam. Both Michael and The Profs are very helpful and responsive to all queries and I’m grateful to them for the help they have provided me
