I spent a weekend at the Retreat for group triathlon training. Our training plan had been thoroughly thought through by the Retreat team before we arrived, from targeted S&C to training drills in each sport to chill-out time, this met the needs of everyone in the group. Real Honest Food also provided nutrition that suited all our requirements and was delicious. We were all so well looked after the entire time and got so much out of the weekend - in both inside and outside sessions - I highly recommend the group stays as working as a team is really motivating and fun. The Retreat team are extremely supportive and friendly which made both days incredibly enjoyable.

I have recently started using The Retreat in a effort to get fitter but more importantly help my golf. I’m looking to increase my swing speed by 5mph. I’ve been to plenty of training facilities however this is easily my favourite. The facilities are 5-star and the location is fantastic. Not only do you get the workout but the atmosphere is very relaxing. The pool and Sauna really help my recovery.

Kathy and the team are really helpful in every way. I also signed up for the food plan they offer and it’s great! I couldn’t believe how much good there was!

Looking forward to getting back.

Absolute mindful experience, from start to finish, me and my partner booked half a day at the Retreat and what a pleasant and welcoming experience it was. We conducted a PT session which really helped us understand the true meaning of what a satisfying workout consists of, we felt utterly refreshed which played in well with the spa, such amazing modern facilities. We were welcomed by the business owner (Kathy) who went completely put her way to make us feel welcome and apart of something special (which indeed it is) PT Martin really had a good grasp of where to pitch the PT content... he made myself and my partner feel extremely invested. Go book now... it will not disappoint. Views in this fabulous area are beyond scenic to the naked eye it really i will certainly be “RE” visiting again to “TREAT” myself.

I was fortunate enough to encounter a full day at The Retreat. On arrival I was impressed at how aesthetically pleasing and well equipped it was, not to mention friendly and welcoming. One bespoke PT session was enough to finish me off, so I moved to the stunning spa area to recover. Between the sauna and pool I didn’t stay in one place for long, finding myself wanting to explore and really make the most of the incredible facilities. A truly unique and satisfying experience, would recommend.

Highly recommend!! Stunning facility that oozes class from the moment you arrive onto the property. Upon arrival I was met by Martin the head trainer and given a show around of the facility. I attended a group class which had a good fun mobility session to begin with then programming that all fitness abilities would get a lot from. To top it off, an unwind in the spa facilities was a great touch. Thanks again and I will be back.

I visited The Retreat with 4 friends as part of a reunion weekend in Northumberland. We are all into our fitness and booked a PT session. What we got was so much more. The experience of our trainer, Ben, meant that we not only had a work out but also a team bonding experience and left feeling better not just in body but also in mind and soul. The setting is incredible and the facility they have there is luxurious and accomodating. I can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Retreat not just to individuals but also to groups.

I was lucky enough to spend a weekend at the Retreat and couldn't recommend it more. Katherine and Martin provided us with amazing advice, training, food and encouragement. The facilities are incredible and I wish I could have stayed longer! The Retreat is perfect for anyone who wants to improve their fitness, learn more about a healthy lifestyle or to just escape from the stress of everyday life and chill!

Relentless enthusiasm, motivation and encouragement are prominent during my sessions with Martin.

When I started, I had little experience of training nor was I aware of the benefits associated with it. However, over the past few weeks attending sessions with Martin has seen my physical strength, mobility, flexibility and mental resilience significantly improve.
