Went with my father Julian. He knew Nolan's agent. Rudy Koman. My recently deceased mother Mary Corbluth knew him quite well. Also from Australia. Rather lovely visit. Felt like being in a Tarkovsky film. Some magic in this place set amongst the vivid green stunning hills of Welsh/ Shropshire border. May rent one of the cottages one day. Friendly people to greet you and serve coffee in pop up cafe. Well worth a visit. And some of the art grabs you in this slightly mysterious place.

We visited on Easter Saturday & it's a lovely setting
As a family we thought it was an expensive entrance fee and especially in this current climate where people are struggling
Some of the exhibits were good but some were incomprehensible!
Our family ages ranged from 19 to 75 years so quite a span of interest
This place is certainly not for everyone and you do need to read the brochure/ website beforehand!
I personally was quite disappointed!

Lovely art gallery with resident artists, top cakes, coffee and tea to enjoy. Mammoths skull 🦣, plus an exhibition of local Australian art. Could do with a bit more Sidney Nolan works even if they are just copies

The living and working space of Sidney Nolan, during the last 14 - 15 years of his life. Exceptional experience. Settings like a bit of Lord of the Rings... 17. Century buildings. Art at it's best, combined with a beautiful landscape and fantastic buildings. Well worth a visit. Entrance fee just 5 pounds, to see all inside too. Walking around outside free. Easy and free parking.
Lovely!
