If you're looking for a great local art workshop with a teacher who caters to all skill levels then Turner's painting school is for you. Marc's classes are both fun and educational, whilst designed to build your confidence to paint. I opted for the 2 day beginners oil workshop, I'd painted watercolours before but didn't know where to start with oils. So glad I did, what a blast. Others on the course included absolute beginners and others like me who had some ability, Marc was able to pitch the course just right for everyone, we created some great pictures and definitely gained confidence in putting down paint! All materials provided, great value, I'll definitely book again. Thanks so much for a great course Marc.

Spent the day with Marc on his Paint like Bob Ross course.

Got to say the studio is amazing and Marc is a very good teacher. I have never painted anything before but always been a fan of Bob Ross.

Marc was very welcoming and also very funny. His class is easy to follow and i can't reccomend it enough!

Met some great people and we all had a great day.

I have never painted with oil before. Marc is an excellent, very patient and a fantastic teacher. He went back all the way to the basics, i.e how cave men may have printed hands on cave walls, and right through to the modern age of how oil paints are made. Over two days Marc took time to instil into our mind core concepts in oil painting. After attending his teaching, I am seeing the world very differently now, appreciating tones, values, shadows, lights - all thanks to Marc. Even trees, just looking at trees and their leaves, Marc you have made me observe things from a different perspective!

This is a journey I have begun in using oil paint, Marc is a fantastic teacher, and his life stories and lessons told to us whilst learning to paint really made the entire experience something I will never forget in my life.
I hope to one day attend his intermediate course when my skills continue to improve.

What a great weekend I’ve just been on the 2 day beginner’s oil painting course. Marc is an experienced , enthusiastic tutor who through constructive encouragement installs confidence into his pupils. I had never worked in oils before but by the end of the course I was able to walk away with 2 paintings to be proud of. All materials are supplied and the workshop had an excellent location next to the Heritage Cafe at Walton Gardens which is great for a drink or snack . Skills were shared and advice given not only about types of materials to work with but also how to dispose of them in an economic and environmental manner. I will certainly be booking another course with Marc Thank you Marc.

Attended Marc's class to paint like Bob Ross.
This was a fantastic experience, Marc was very knowledgeable, informative and a lovely relaxed manner.
From the moment I arrived I felt very comfortable and ready to learn. I had not painted before and with Marc's direction and instruction I managed to produce a reasonable piece to look at.
I cannot recommend Marc's class highly enough, everyone on the day were thrilled with the experience and it was earth every penny. I will be signing up for his tutorial course in the near future.

Although I'm not new to drawing, I'm a complete beginner in painting and had always wanted to learn properly. I've recently completed a couple of 2-day courses with Marc (Introduction to Oil Painting and Paint Like Turner). This time spent with Marc has been extremely inspiring and has made me want to pursue painting further! I've learnt some great skills that I'll continue to use at home.
Marc is a brilliant teacher. He is patient, enthusiastic and encouraging. He knows how to work to peoples' strengths and get the best out of them. He is a talented artist and as well as all this, his lessons are fun and entertaining! I had a great time throughout both of these courses and I'll definitely be back for more! I'd recommend Marc's classes to anyone. No matter your current skill level, if you'd like to learn/improve your painting in a relaxed, fun, friendly environment, you won't find better than Marc!
