If you are thinking about buying it, I would avoid. It's not half bad but it's not worth the money you pay. The topics aren't even organised in the same areas that they are based on the course textbook which is so unhelpful. I think there are lots of cheaper or free resources that do I better job!

I spent hundreds of hours on uplearn and I would say the time would have been better spent working through text books questions and past exam papers. Many of the maths questions had incorrect solutions. To start with I would send in countless corrections then I just gave up with sending them and was always second guessing if I was correct or not. Especially second year integration.

I know repition helps you to remember but the more hours you spend on it the more tedious and repetitive it becomes. It always follows the same format.

For me personally I probably lost a grade rather than gained a grade.

But for people who don't like working through text books, don't like the many good youtube videos or past exam papers. It can be beneficial. Another plus is its convenience where you can log in and do a small amount of maths when you've only got a short amount of time.

My son is using it and finds it is alright for him but I personally wouldn't use it at all if I could go back in time. I got access to it for free too.

UpLearn for my AS Psychology has been incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has everything all included all in video format to learn your subject in the most thorough way imaginable! the videos are engaging, interesting and use real life examples like world events, history stuff, harry potter and singers to illustrate points being learnt!!!!

The tutors are incredible- i did UpCore and the tutors were always available within a couple of minutus or hours(depending on the time of day/night) to respond, and they really help you untill you reach complete mastery of the concept. They are also incredibley supportive and encouraging!

The exam papers, exam walkthroughs with encorporated exam practice questions were brilliant!!!

All in all a phenomonal site with its main selling point being that its all in video format, no pages or textbooks, so its like having a teacher teaching it to you and you just sit back and learn!!!!

Was v close to finishing the course for AQA biology
Even memorized the answers to all the by topic questions, attempted the test papers predicted for paper 1 and 2, and didn’t find the test paper predictions for 3 for studying from as good as the other 2 so decided to stick to past paper 3 biology papers that had come up already
Still didn’t even get a B, 3 marks off from it, will see if anything changes from remarking.
I had probably focused with biology the most, especially uplearn, doing 2-3 hours a day, and really hammering practice on it from biology.
Was expecting an A.

im debating wether to buy the full thing, in the middle of a trial right now.
im doing bonding vids for chemistry, and there was one bit of the video, which as far as i understand, was incorrect. They stated that ionic compounds, when boiled, turn into individual ion pairs? when online it says they disassociate from their compounds? can you please answer this i know this is google reviews and not a q and a session but im really scared of spending loads of money on this, and learning a few incorrect facts, because chemistry is one subject i always find confusing. And its only be 1.5 days and ive found a mistake. help !!

Edited: Having spoken to Uplearn it appears my son didn’t utilise fully all that was available. He wasn’t aware of everything that it included (and being a teenage boy, he didn't really tell me very much!). I would advise anyone to ensure they have parent access and keep a track of their child’s progress for maximum benefit as well as making sure they are fully on board and aware of all of the features.

Although son didn’t complete the full course ( A level Physics) he spent a lot of time on Uplearn, especially getting close to the exams. He has ended up with exactly the same grade as before Uplearn, with no improvement, doing better in other subjects which he didn’t have Uplearn for. Feel like the money could have been better spent on private tuition. Disappointed as I tried my best to help him up his grade by investing in Uplearn.

Not much to say- would recommend for anyone needing support for their A-levels. It does cost quite a lot but in my opinion, I would say it was worth it & is reasonably priced for the content/ support provided.

Though, it would be great if the option of subtitles for each video/ lesson could be added!
